Clara E. Klinghoffer 1900-1970 British This is a fine original lithograph by British artist Clara Klinghoffer. This study of a seated nude has an image size of 13 3/4X11 7/8 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, hand signed in pencil lower right.

Etching on thin laid paper, 3 3/4" by 2 3/4" (14" by 11" in modern day frame), from the series "Beggars and other low life", by the noted early Dutch artist JAN GILLISZ VAN VLIET (1605-1668). The etching is one image out of a series of ten or eleven similar views by the artist, who, despite information to the contrary, was not strictly a pupil/student of Rembrandt...

From the set of lithographs, Paris dans sa Splenour, published in 1861, this one is titled, “TOUR St. JAQUES – LA BOUCHERIE ET RUE DE RIVOLIE.” The printer and lithographer are shown in details of the lower left and right corners. The image without printing is 9 1/4 by 14 1/8 inches (23.5 x 36 cm), the page 12 ¾ by 18 ½ inches (32.5 x 47 cm).
