A beautiful Art Nouveau panel-cut crystal vase, the surface completely etched in a swirling design of flowers resembling columbines. The etching is highlighted with soft gilt details that bring out the depth of the pattern. The rim of the vase is finished in a sawtooth pattern derived from the shapes of the engraved blossoms. English blue and white transfer printed plate by Clews, Staffordshire, c 1820. Clews (1818-1834) produced patterns with motifs intended for the American market. This pattern in a soft blue shade, however, is of a guide demonstrating some Italian classical ruins to a lady traveller seated on a donkey, all viewed as from inside a grotto. Flat back with impressed mark: Clews, warranted Staffordshire. Diameter "9½/ 24 cm. Condition: two chips, one to the underside of rim, as shown in photos.

With the purchase of the lease on the Nymphenburg factory by Albert Baumi in 1887 the factory started to re-produce figures that had been originally made in the 18th century. This figure of a Turk, originally modeled by Bustelli, is one of those. This is a wonderful early glass sugar bowl, in a deep cobalt blue color, from Scotland or Northern England. It is delightfully gilded with the saying "Be Canny with the Sugar". The rim is also gilded.

The bowl is on a stem with two flattened knops, above a folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil. It stands 4 1/8" tall and is 4 5/8" in diameter. The condition is excellent, with no chips or restoration...

Another wonderful offering of Vauxhall porcelain, this one a tea bowl and saucer, finely potted and painted in the highly desirable "sticky blue". The scene on both pieces features a pagoda and houses in the background, with a large rock in the foreground.

A rare, early English flow blue three piece soup tureen c1850-60. This tureen stands 11" high with the lid, and the matching, fitted underplate measures 14-3/4" x 13". It has a floral style motif, and it has an impressed S as well as a pseudo Chinese mark, minor variants of which were used by Charles Meigh (1835-49), Charles Meigh & Son (1851-61) and also Job Meigh (c1805-34), all of Hanley, Staffordshire; we feel it dates from c1850-60 but it could possibly be of earlier manufacture...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Coalport in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. The cup has a ring handle. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with cobalt flow blue flowers and leaves, rust red flowers, and embellished with gold.
