An uncommon tinsel, or foil, painting on glass. Extremely vibrant, with deep colors, the painting shows a bluebird surrounded by a variety of fruit, with a compote of fruit behind it. It is rare to have a foil scene without a lot of open space between subjects.

The painting is in excellent condition, as is the later frame, which measures 16 1/4" by 13 1/4".

"Tiffany Studios" Gilded Bronze Paper Clip, Art Deco period 1920, 2" x 2 1/4" wide, 1" high, marked "Tiffany Studios, New York, 358, 1805", no damages except some gilding is worn on the corners.

A classic George III sterling silver wine coaster, the bombe sides with egg and dart decoration and the rim with gadrooning. The decoration is finely crafted. The turned wood base is centered with a silver escutcheon bearing an unidentified coat of arms (dancetty with three swords points down) impaling that of Ashby (ermine chevron and three leopard’s heads) tied with a ribbon. The coaster is clearly stamped with hallmarks for London and the second George III duty mark (1786-1821)...

Lovely oval lobed shape enamel and silver compact, painting of group of Putti holding hands dancing encircling a tree with landscape in the background. The painting is framed with silver engraving and carnelian blue enamel accents. Stamped 800 silver and a duck and makers seal inside with the print of a doll. Dimensions 3 1/2"L x 2 1/2"W. A spectacular and beautiful circa 1730 English silk embroidered apron front, exquisitely embroidered in polychrome silk and metallic threads with garlands and sprays of flowers urns. Scalloped edges are finished with embroidered metallic trim. A somewhat later but very similar example is shown in The Lotus Collection.

There are some scattered unimportant splits and very very minor and small spots of discoloration, all to be expected in such a delicate piece...

This porcelain slipper was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It measures approximately 6 1/4 inches long and 2 inches wide. The porcelain is modeled in the shape of a slipper with a fold in the heel. The decoration is hand painted in cobalt blue and gold. It has an elaborate design of stylized birds and flowers that are reminiscent of Persian style. There is gold trim around the rim of the slipper. Condition is excellent.

An unusually fine Baccarat pansy glass paperweight from the Dupont era. The blossom is nicely worked with deep purple upper petals and mustardy-yellow lowers.
