This handsome case, highlighted by black niello enamel, could be used for various things, including business cards. It has a flower motif on both sides, and space for a monogram on one side, should you wish it. It is marked (and tests as) sterling silver. It measures 3-7/8 x 2-15/16”, and weighs in at 4.92 ounces. In excellent condition. The elastic may be a replacement. We believe this case is pre-1920, but would welcome other opinions...

This exceptional teapot is from the Staffordshire region of England from the very early 19th century, reasonably dated c. 1800 and attributed to the New Hall factory. It is a porcelain production imitating the very popular Chinese wares coming into the European market, and attempting to convince consumers that it was of the same quality. These pieces often depict domestic scenes but are frequently scenes from theater or novels...

French triptych photo frame made of bronze and colorful enamel. Uses the antique method of applying enamel over the brass as opposed to cloisonne where the enamel is embedded in the brass. 19 th. Century. Shows some wear and tear in the enamel can be seen in the pictures.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer or KPM about 1900. It was modelled by the artist Karl Himmelstoss. He specialized in subjects wearing traditional costumes. The figure is 10 ¼ inches high and 7 inches wide. The figure weighs over 4 pounds unpacked. The finest modelling and degree of detail is evident. Folds in the skirt, ruffled collar and sleeves, the wicker texture of the basket, ribbons and headdress show complex detail...

Pair of Georgian Rococo sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York in 1898. Each: Baluster shaft on raised and round shaped base. Concave socket with square detachable bobeche. Dense and dynamic with twisted fluting, beading, and leafing scrolls. Fully marked including dated maker’s stamp and no. 284A. Excellent condition with deep patina.

Set of 10 Art Deco sterling silver cocktail cups. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1915. Each: Cone on baluster mounted to round foot. Spare and functional. Nice balance for swishing the booze around. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 18885 (first produced in 1915) and director’s letter m. Seven have order no. 547 and three no. 9. Very good condition.

A fine Derby porcelain dish painted by Zachariah Boreman, marked on the reverse with a blue crowned "D" and pattern number 343. The kidney-shaped dish has a beautiful soft green wide border with a gilded edge. The white ground within the green border has elaborate drape and swag gilding on the outside edge, and gilded foliage surrounding the kidney shaped cartouche in the center. The cartouche has a scene identified on the reverse as Solfatara, Italy...

Victorian Neoclassical sterling silver epergne. Made by Charles Stuart Harris in London in 1895. Central oval frame with pendant leaf garland threaded through fixed rings and supporting oval medallions with amphorae applied to stippled ground. Frame rests on 4 leaf-capped and scrolled supports terminating in pierced leaf feet. Shaft is reeded and has applied leaf garland with paterae mounts, and supports large boat-form basket...

We love baby rings, worn around the knuckle or worn clipped to a large split ring and worn around a chain, or simply collected in honor of a new baby. Our Victorian baby ring has rose diamonds encased in gold, spaced evenly around the band. The band has a royal blue enamel border on both top and bottom of the band. The blue enamel is itself accented by a slender border of gold. The combination of the rose diamonds set in gold with the enamel blue detail make this an exceptional baby ring...

Extraordinary French bronze jewel box in the Louis XVI style. The lid has a bas-relief design illustrating a boating party preparing to pass below an aqueduct. A city rises in the distance, while the foreground is populated with very detailed trees and shrubs. The scene is draped in fabric, tied at the corners with ribbon and surmounted with a laurel wreath intertwined with a torch and staff, typical Louis XVI devices. The sides are decorated with beautifully detailed swags of roses...

A most unusual blanc de chine rhyton cup of hard paste German porcelain of the 18th century. The features and details are simply amazing as the discerning collector will observe hand cut details in the scrolling tendrils that flank the sides, as well as the hand molded mane of the backside of the rams head. Every detail is hand accented, evidenced by the slight imperfections that only an artisan would leave behind...

English George III snuff box fashioned from horn and with a tortoiseshell veneer on the cover. Circa 1790-1810. The cover is also inlaid with a floral design in silver and gold. Chip to one corner of cover (see photo detail); hinge is firm and carved from the horn, with a snug fit to the lid. Size: 3" long x 1.5" deep x .75" high.
