A Mt. Washington scalloped rim bowl decorated with orchids. The 3 3/4 inch diameter, 2 3/4 inch tall satin finish bowl has subtle diagonal ribs and a polished pontil mark. The color shades from pale lavender on the flared rim to colorless at the bottom. The coloration appears similar to the bowl shown in plate 10-17 on page 243 in Wilson’s “Mt Washington & Pairpoint Glass” and the decoration matches that on the sugar shaker in plate 10-18 of the same book.

A striking Newcastle Light Baluster (NLB) drinking glass, featuring a round funnel bowl finely engraved with the arms of George III. The stem has 3 knops leading into a central tear-filled knop followed by an additional 3 knops. Conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

An extremely fine baluster wine glass of beautiful proportions and lead composition. The flared bell bowl with an air tear in its base sits atop a stem with a medial flattened ball knop. Strong domed with rough, snapped pontil. Height 6 inches, bowl diameter 2 1/2 inches, foot diameter 3 inches. Superb condition.
A wonderful late 19th or very early 20th century sheet iron weathervane in the form of a sperm whale silhouette. The vane is hand sawn and retains its old coat of oxidized green paint (may be original, but appears to be a second coat). One side still has its black painted eye. The silhouette is attached to its original copper mounting pole. Found in Maine.

The decoration is in underglaze blue starting with a thin line around the outer edge, a double ring about a quarter of the way toward the center with grasses growing inward toward a large expressive carp. This porcelain plate was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. It measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. The plate is made of fine bone china. The celeste blue rim is reticulated.
