Charming coffee cans, decorated with various birds in bright and lively colours, the style typical of the last years of the Amstel factory, 1809-1814. There are three cans. The saucers are from the period, but not belonging - the original saucers probably had corresponding birds in the center. Height "2 ¼ / 6.2 cm, diameter of saucers "5 ¼ / 13 cm. An amber colored vase with an etched and gilt “Oroplastic” frieze of Amazon warriors, the base facet cut. The Oroplastic decoration method was introduced by the Moser glass company around 1915. A complexly decorated Chinese export plate in underglaze blue with overglaze red, orange and gilding depicting scrolling plants, two panels with a house under a flowering tree and an octagonal symbol in the center. Brown painted rim. There are trailing blue and red plants on the back and the foot is unglazed. Probably more toward the first quarter of the 18th century than the second quarter. 8 5/8 inches (22 cm) diameter.

Unusual Victorian copper ladies' button-up boot. The Victorians often placed these along their mantles for purely decorative purposes. Most examples are made of brass, but this piece is entirely copper. Another nice touch is the applied scalloped pattern along the front edge of the boot and the white brass buttons.

This is a whimsical 19th Century ivory cane or parasol handle; intricately carved with a sandpiper and a snake devouring a plump frog; also with a fine banded saw-tooth rim. Measurement: length: 5 1/4 inches. Condition: age appropriate wear to some of the sharpness of the saw tooth rim- no chips or cracks.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1892. The date ciphers in the mark indicate this year. The set is made of fine white bone china. The decoration is in the Japanese Imari style. There are borders of cobalt blue, baskets of flowers and all kinds of gilded ornaments. The set has a graceful shape and elaborate design. Pair English Victorian Transfer heavy Ceramic Tiles with Aesthetic movement, pre 1920's, 6" square, 1/2" high, with couple birds on the plum tree branches inside the octagonal panel surrounded with triangle shape corner borders, the glaze is thick glossy crackled. A pair of unmarked Wave Crest “Daisy” salt shakers. The flat rims of the shakers are decorted with a dainty floral pattern and the undersides of the bases are embossed “Patented June 2 1891." The shakers are perfect and are 2 ½ inches in diameter.

Antique English Staffordshire blue and white transferware plate by Rogers with a very dramatic scene. On the back it is named "The Drama". In very good condition commensurate with age. There is a small chip to the underside of the plate rim that is not seen from the front. Measures just under 8.75" diameter.

This porcelain two piece stamp box was produced in France by Tressemann & Vogt in the 1890s. The box is 4 1/4 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches high, including the handle. The box has the artist’s initials on the bottom. The porcelain blank was sold white ware and decorated by a studio artist. There are three compartments inside the box to hold stamps. Stunning 2nd Empire pink opaline glass chalice with gilt and enamel decoration. The outside surface has a matte finish except along the lip, the foot rim and the knop rim, each of which is decorated with gilt lines. The primary decoration, however, fills nearly the entire surface with built-up layers of gilding accented with black enamel. The base has a slightly concave polished pontil.

Nice Bohemian glass paperweight featuring a concentric millefiori design. The outermost ring is composed of alternating pink and blue complex star canes. The canes are placed over a scrambled ground. The base is flat and is clearly defined. The glass is heavy and of quite good quality.

The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with wide bands of heavily embossed gilding. A Gorham Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon, in the "Raphael" pattern; patented 1874, and dating from shortly after. The length is 6" and it has a gold washed bowl (2" x 1.5"). A group of four hand painted German porcelain cups and saucers by Helena Wolfsohn c1870s-80s. Each has fine floral decoration with garlands and gold trim and highlights, both inside and out. Each has a blue ground and all have the blue Wolfsohn backstamp (crowned D over Hand painted Dresden Saxony). One has "Handgemalt" instead of handpainted, and all have the gold rose overstamp. The cups stand 2" high and the saucers are 5-7/8" across, and each saucer also is stamped with a retailer stamp....

A rare form of slag glass, this late 19th century example is richly marbled throughout. It rests on a round foot which rises on a stem supporting a tiered crown for the straight paneled bowl. This specimen is in outstanding condition and retains its identification tag from its original collector.

A nice late Victorian South Jersey (Vineland/Millville area) glass paperweight with a frit “Home Sweet Home” design. The set-up is worked entirely in white frit and has few nice features including potted plants on the lawn, a picket fence, and a Y-shaped sidewalk. The glass is clean and has good magnification. The flat base is polished.

Terrific American majolica dish in the form of a fish. The painting on this example is especially nice, with very lifelike colors. The modeling is very crisp and clean. The back has a decorator's mark, but no maker's mark. It is possibly a product of Griffin, Smith & Hill. Perfect condition. Circa 1880. 7-1/2" x 10".

Beautiful sterling silver asparagus fork made by Whiting, patented 1891, and sold by Bailey, Banks & Biddle.  It measures 10" long x 3 1/2" wide, and weighs 127 grams.  It is in wonderful condition with no dents, scratches or any other problems.  It has the initial B on the handle.

An American Redware Turk's Head Pudding Mold; late 19th century. Dimensions; 8.5" diameter x 3.25" high. Condition appropriate to age and use.

This fine Staffordshire copper luster pitcher is decorated with a blue band of enamel, creating a very clean, simple design, accented with beading around the border and rim of the pitcher. The fancy serpentine and strap handles give it grace. The warmth of the copper makes it an attractive accessory to a bookshelf or cabinet.

This is antique ecclesiastical sheet music in Latin, from earlier centuries, commonly known as an "antiphonal". These are normally seen as hand painted manuscripts on vellum (animal skin). This is a stoneware crock, 11 1/2" high and approximately 10 1/2" diameter, natural non-gray color, the "2" cut into the wet clay before it was fired. 1830-40 velvet reticule theorem purse In nice condition with some age darkening. It is all hand sewn, lined with fine homespun linen. No rips or tears but there is loss of most of the ribbon trim around the outside edges. It is 8 1/2" top to bottom and 8" across at the widest point.

A pair of hand-painted French porcelain ink-pots or candlesticks, made around 1920. The larger one is 4 1/4 inches (11 cm) by 4 1/4 inches and 2 1/2 inches (6,5 cm) tall. The smaller one is 3 3/4 inches (9,5 cm) by 3 3/4 inches. They are in good condition (age-appropriate fading to paint). They are signed, 'Le Tallec Paris' and 'Made in France'.

This is what I call a down home or servicable antique pot holder. It looks like a odd apple with a tummy sash. It is sewn nicely but with a childish feeling to it. I am sure it was used but care was taken with it. The loop at the top looks original. It is a very nice naive pot holder from the 1840's. It is 4" by 5". I love seeing these hung.
