A beautiful pair of French Empire Gilt Bronze candelabra, a very ornately done Measuring 14 inch in height

Rare, circa 1860, English walnut tea caddy featuring nice clean lines with its only decoration being the word “TEA” inlaid in sterling silver. The lid is hinged and the interior features two separate rectangular compartments with removable wooden lids for storage. In very good antique condition with expected signs of use with some light scratches, a minor nick to the walnut finish, and a small piece of silver missing at the food of the “T”. Measures 3.5" high, 7.5" long, 5" wide

Chinese Song Dynasty Celadon Bowl Double Fish Motif 8 1/4” width 2.5” height

A very rare and superb Octagon British Wooden TEA CADDY WITH TORTOISE SHELL AND MOTHER OF PEARL inlays, ca. 1800. The top knob for opening and the 4 small feet are made of bone. The tea caddy comes with the original key and the mechanism works well. Size: height 17 cm. including the knob and feet (15 cm without) x width 12 cm. Very good condition. A fine Collector's piece! (This item cannot be exported to the U.S.A.)

This is another carved Pinzgauer armoire, this piece is from near Goldegg in the Pinzgau valley. This softwood ( pine needle wood ) piece is made in the Baroquian style, it also dates at about 1740 . Very nice restored condition ! H : 73 inc. B : 49,5 inc. Deep : 26 inc.

Two small different shaped photo frames. Made of steel with gold damascene. The larger in the Moorish style with arabesques in the shape of a mihrab, the small one in oval form, backsides gilt. Condition: few traces of usage, the oval one without glass. Dimension: c. 13.8 x 7.8 cm and 8.4 x 6.4 cm.

Solid split pedestal mahogany dining table made by Brown and Simpson of Boston in 1909. It measures 54 inches round by 29" tall when closed. There are six leaves, two with aprons. When opened with the two leaves that have aprons, it becomes an oval measuring 6' 3" inches long and looks like one large table as the center pedestal stays closed and the aprons make it look like there are no leaves...

A beautiful late Qing dynasty Celadon charger measuring 15.5 inches concave shape

I am offering this pretty much as an antique collectable frame (rabbet 15" by 11 1/2", about 17" by 13 1/2" if you were inclined to try to remove what looks like an inner frame). It probably dates to about 1880. For many years it has housed a chromolithograph of sailing craft, "Coming Into Port", by the American luminist marine artist George Curtis (1826-1881). The chromo is on canvas, bearing the stamp of publishers Colton, Zahm & Roberts of New York...

A pair of gold leaf, hand carved, upholstered fauteuil (open armchairs). They are early 20th century versions of French ‘Regence’ (cira 1710) armchairs. The chairs are made of hand carved gilded wood. Upholstered in green Fortuny silk which remains in excellent condition for its age. Working zipper on both cushion seat. This 2-5/8" x 1-1/2" unsigned box features a floral corner applique and two applied butterflies on the top, a pin stop and corner swinging pivot. The interior has remnants of what appears to be adhesive from some missing material and it has two cutout felt pieces; it would make a nice tiny jewel box also...

Medallion representing Napoleon Bonaparte wearing the laurel wreath. The emperor is represented still young. This must be one of the earliest depictions of the emperor, arround 1800-1805. On the edge is inscribed in french "Napoleon the great Emperor and King", the medallion is mounted on a horn box. The medallion is in bronze or gilded copper with a beautiful slightly greenish mercury gilding, it is framed by a strapping of pink metal which must be pink gold. Good condition, no restoration...

Lignum vitae seal box with screw thread, complete with lacquer seal and – most unusual – the corresponding agate intaglio ringstone with a family crest. Georgian, c 1810-20, with the seal engraver’s label, H. Lowe of Lambs Conduit, London. Diameter "1¼ / 3.3 cm. Condition: a dent to the border of the lid (the screw thread still works).

When we say that these candelabra are "le fin de siecle" we are referring to more than their late 19th century manufacture. They are superb example of Baroque style lighting which befits a place begging for a fine appointment. Why are we using French to describe these Italian cast brass masterpieces which must surely be one of a kind?

The candelabra have an architectural solidity with the square feet supporting floral faced blocks which frame a flower and scrolling vine motif...

Bottom drawers provide additional storage. The Geta Bako was traditionally used at the entrance to a Japanese home to allow family members to remove and store their shoes before entering the home.
