Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Covered Jar
This attractive small covered jar was made during the 13th / 14th Century (Song / Yuan Dynasty). It is coated inside and out in a pale Qingbai type of glaze that is very finely-crackled. The colour of the glaze varies a little, appearing slightly paler to the cover and inner surface of the jar. The cover has a carved pattern to give it the appearance of a tiled roof; this jar represents a granary.

19th century Chinese rock crystal seal blank of square section. All features seen in the stone are natural, no chips except for a small one by the base seen on Enlargement 2, left photo. Uncommon material for a seal, beautiful finish to the surface. Excellent object for scholar’s table. Height 1.63 inches, base 0.5 inches square.

Chinese silver etched design Bell and Agate round Bead Pendant, Ca. 1920,, 3" high overall, Bell(1 1/2" high, 1 1/8" wide), Agate(1 1/2" diameter, very nice Chinese etched design on Silver Bell. The condition is good.
Unusual 19th century Chinese soapstone double seal of rectangular section with two sides carved with sunken characters. Third catalogue photo includes images of both printing surfaces flipped left to right to show what the imprint of the seals will look like. Nice buff colored stone, crisp carving of the characters, old traces of red seal paste in the grooves of the characters, in excellent condition, very nice scholar’s object. Seal size 1 1/4 x 5/8 inches.
19th century Chinese Peking glass hair pin of classic shape. Glass perfectly imitates celadon jade both in color and finish, great patina, couple of tiny chips to edges, pleasant feel of age. Length 6 3/8 inches. Part of a small Massachusetts collection of Peking glass.
A small Chinese Export saucer, Yongzheng or early Qianlong, first part of the 18th century. Brown "Batavia" glaze with reserves of enameled flower panels in Famille Verte colours and gilt. Diameter "4 ¾/ 12 cm. Condition: two hairlines and a rim chip visible from the back.

Gourd shaped silk pouch, China c 1900. Embroidery of extremely fine seed stitch / Peking knot, depicting bamboo growing in water and on top a Yin/Yang emblem. Inside is a paper label saying No 6 China Peking. Height "6 ¾ / 17.7 cm. Condition: this pouch has been used and shows wear and tear consistent with age.
A truly exceptional and magnificent Apple Green Jade Jadeite Bottle from China, late 18th/19th Century. Superb and intricate fine carvings on both sides. Original stopper/top seems not removable. Finest Burma Jade, no repairs, chips or cracks. Size: H. 6 cm. x W. 5 cm. x D. 1.4 cm. A rare find!

19th century Chinese chess piece (I assume it to be a bishop) carved as a Chinese official wearing richly decorated robe and holding a fly-whisk. Made for export, superb carving with portrait quality face and excellent depiction of swirling leaves and vines decoration of his robe. Stained red, some chips as can be seen on photos, overall in great condition. Height 2 11/16 inches.
Eggshell or semi-eggshell Chinese vase of baluster shape, Qianlong sealmark in red but probably early 20th Century, Republic period. Decoration of a (mythical?) scene with a rider dismounting his horse and approaching a kneeling lady, all superbly painted in the Famille rose palette.Height "5½/ 14 cm. Chinese burnished Neolithic bowl with side lugs, there is a repair on the edge noted in last enlargement and some of the black pigment in the design is not original. Majiayao culture circa 3000BCE. D: 12cm/4.8in and H: 6.8cm/2.6in.
