A beautifully carved cinnabar round box depicting a sage and his attendant walking under a pine tree in a waterfront scene. We date this box to mid-Qing Dynasty, 18th century. The box is in very good antique condition, with some expected minor loses and small chips, parts of the rims are retouched. A Chinese porcelain gourd-shaped vase in coral-red glaze. "Daqing Jiaqing Nianzhi" six characters mark inside the foot rim, and of the period. The vase is in excellent condition: no chip, no crack, no restoration, but just a few glaze scratches. Height: 6".

This jade skull is yellowish green and is from the Hongshan Neolithic Culture. It was dated to 6700BP-4900BP. It is 1 7/8" long and 1 5/8" wide. It has marvelous patina and the color is mesmerizing. It is 100% translucent. The jade is extremely fine grained and top quality. This could have been the top of a shaman's staff. BEWARE, this is one of the most reproduced fakes out there, especially on eBay. This one is the real deal. I no longer use "in my opinion" COAs...

A Chinese small rectangular-mouthed vase made of Yixing zisha clay and finished with Jun-glaze (宜鈞） . 17th to 18th Century. The vase is in perfect condition. Height: 9.5 cm

A Chinese gilt silver handled cup decorated with carved birds and vine motifs. Late Qing Dynasty. The cup is in excellent condition, please refer to photos for details. Height: 2-1/2"; diameter: 2-7/8".

With gold painted lines simulating veins. The lines outside in low relief. The celadon glaze has a nice colour. There are 5 spur marks to the base. In the collection of the British Museum there is a cup of similar form ( it´s base as well with 5 spur marks ) that is dated to the Kangxi period, Jingdezhen ware. ( Museum Number : PDF, A. 516 ) Diameter : 7,8 cm. H : 4,5 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Finely cast, with nice details, miniature statue of bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, standing on a lotus base, his left hand holding what seems to be a gourd. Bronze, with encrusted reddish green patina, with traces of the original gilding. China, Tang Dynasty. Height: 5.6 cm. The statue is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Good condition.

A quirk of history went on in China in the late 1990's. They were building dams similar to our Tennessee Valley Authority dams. A Han style (maybe of the period) white jade cicada in simple design and carved with clean lines showing superior craftsmanship. We date it Qing Dynasty or earlier, but it was probably from Han Dynasty. Condition: there are some calcification on the tip of the wings, which caused some tiny chips; some age veins on the lower part of the cicada (please see photo #4 and #5 for details). Length: 7 cm; width: 3.5 cm.

Chinese small porcelain cup, eggshell thin body, raised on slightly recessed foot. The cup is enameled in motifs of grapes on coiled vines and peonies. The base with red 4 character seal.
