Fine Small Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Celadon Glazed Porcelain Jar
This attractive small porcelain jar was made in the 12th - 14th century during the Song (AD 960 - 1279) or the Yuan Dynasty (1279 - 1368). It is quite "heavily-potted" and coated in a thick pale olive-green glaze. The body, when soft, was indented with five wide vertical impressions to give it a lobed appearance. The foot remains unglazed revealing the pale grey body...

This is a genuine Ming Chenghua ( 1465 - 1487 ) minyao blue and white " ducks " dish.

Guangxu mark and period, 1875-1908
The interior is well-painted in various colors of overglaze enamels, having a central Shou medallion surrounded by four auspicious characters rendered in gold with red outlines on a white ground. The reverse is painted with two flower sprays over the clear glaze which covers all but the exposed footring. The six-character Guangxu mark is painted in two vertical lines in dark red enamel. The yellow enamel has some areas of light wear from use...

Well preserved and owned the very characteristics for authentication, the bottle can an important and charming item in early Chinese ceramics' collection.
