A charming matched pair of Qianlong export soup plates, with scalloped edges decorated with fleur-de-lis like border, and carefully enameled with floral sprigs in the Meissen fashion...

Antique Chinese, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), large, blue, and white, porcelain charger or bowl, Swatow Zhangzhou ware. The exterior is hand painted in cobalt blue with abstract swirling designs on crackled ground and heavily glazed and adorned in the center with a happiness symbol within an unglazed stacking ring. The stacking ring prevents the plate from sticking to the other plate during the firing in the kiln...

1700s / early 1800s

This piece is in one of the eight prescribed peach bloom shapes that were designed for the scholar’s table. The base is marked with a properly written six character Kangxi mark in underglaze blue. This pot is well-potted in conformance with the shape of these vessels, rising from a slightly demarked foot visible on the outside as a light trimming line. The walls bulge outward and turn in at the shoulder which rounds to a depressed mouth opening...

 

Porcelain covered by celadon glaze with five spurs mark; unglaze base. PERIOD : Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 13 cm wide. CONDITION: no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restoration.

A Ming Swatow Polychrome Plate. Diameter approximately 25.5 cm. Covered with green and red enamel. Decorated with flowers, curve lines etc. Good condition. The plate has a firing crack at the rim. Photos and description available.

It is covered overall in a grey-green celadon glaze, except for the foot-ring and base. Measurements: diameter (4"inches) across. Condition: in perfect condition. No cracks, no chips, and no repairs...

Pair of antique Qing dynasty (1644-1911), Chinese blue-and-white porcelain hexagonal vases made of very good quality semi-transparent white porcelain with flared neck, high slanted shoulders, tall waisted neck, flared rim, and splayed foot. Each is decorated in the Canton style and finely hand-painted in underglaze with vibrant tons of cobalt blue with a continuous riverscape scene, mountains, trees, architectural elements, and human figures...

Fine Chinese mandarin enameled porcelain milk beaker, ca 1780's, decorated with figures is landscape. Size 11.5 cm or 4.6 inches tall . Excellent condition, almost perfect. Provenance: Private collection, Edinburgh.

This piece had been imported to Japan in 14th century by "Tenryu-ji ship", and so called "天龍寺青磁 Tenryu-ji celadon" in Japan. It has peony pattern carved at the inner and outside surface, and fretwork pattern at the inner rim. Certification: by Noriki Shimazu the famous researcher with Asian antiques in Japan. Wonderful Large sized porcelain antique Chinese planter with hole at bottom, vibrantly illustrated fu dog characters in a playful sky setting among clouds, grasping ball and ribbons. Pedestal is dark hardwood with round claw foot legs. The piece is consigned from a prominent Thailand Collection which states that the jar is Kangxi period and the stand dates from the 19th century. Painted in a rich cobalt blue under the glaze with rapid brush strokes in a zenga-like manner, depicting a scholar in his studio. The literatus leans against his table on top of which is placed a brush pot and incense burner. Part of his garden is visible in the background and a six-character poem is seen penned on the upper-left...
