This is nice and large Shou bowl dated to Kangxi (1662-1772) period. The Shou bowl stand on a short footrim, with recess based and then everted upwards. The base has a hand painted private kiln seal mark that can be dated to the Kangxi period. Both on the outside and cavetto of the shou bowl, it is surrounded with tibetan scripts. This piece was made at the Zhangzhou kilns(漳州窯), and had been stored by Japanese famous collector. This type of multiple colored ceramics is called "Gosu Aka-e 呉須赤絵" and has been valued by Japanese people since Edo period until nowadays. This tripod censer has an extremely well potted rare shape. The censer is covered with an superb opaque glaze of finely mottled turquoise and purplish-blue tone. A piece of superlatives. The Mark on the piece is the Mark of the legendary Imperial Supervisor Tang Ying but the piece probably is from the nineteenth century. Diameter : 14,8 cm. H : 7,4 cm. Condition : Perfect. A circular qingbai porcelain box of compressed drum shape with neatly lobed sides and a slightly concave base. The domed cover has a concave top, which is mould-­impressed with small chrysanthemum flowers. Both the exterior and interior of the box and cover are coated in a thin, translucent bluish­-white glaze, leaving the rims and base unglazed, exposing the sugary white body, which has some brown and black firing marks...

The reason why this bowl is so rare is the fact, that nearly all bowls of this kind of Medallion bowls are " Doucai " bowls on that the underglaze Cobalt - blue outlines of the decoration are filled with overglaze enamels. Sometimes there are also to find such bowls that do show the underglaze blue outlines only, which are for whatever reason still not filled with overglaze enamels. The decoration of such pieces somehow give an " incomplete impression"...

Blue & white pieces in Jingdezhen Ming dynasty like these are called "古染付 kosome" and loved by Japanese tea masters.Especially natural chips on the mouth edge are loved and called "虫喰　mushikui" that means worm eating marks. A Chinese Longquan Celadon Jar with Iron-Spots. Circa, 14th Century, Yuan Dynasty. Found in the Philippines. Featuring a small ovoid shaped body, topped with a flat rounded cover and is covered overall in a green celadon glaze with iron-brown spots, except for the foot-ring. Measurements: height (3.5'inches). Condition: there is a very small rim frit on the jars mouth but is overall in very impressive condition. No cracks, no restorations...

A Chinese porcelain vase covered with beautiful flambe glaze, and decorated with a pair of molded mask and ring handles on the shoulder. 18th century. Condition: The foot rim is lightly ground; chips around inside the foot rim which happened before firing. No other flaw other than these. Height: 13-3/4".
