This is the type of early Mei-Ping flask which was used in the 1,300’s to 1,400’s by the Chinese to transport mercury for trade to be use in gold mining operations. They measure 6.5 to 7.5 inches high and were found in the port of Tuban, Indonesia on an unknown shipwreck. This particular piece has an un-repaired crack in the body but is intact.

Since there still are no publications concerning this kind of ware, this extremely decorative and of course genuine Jar is difficult to date. Most probably this Jar is from the Song Dynasty (Private kiln, Fujian / Guandong ) but it also could be that this Jar is later, from the 14th - 15th century . This is a late Qing dynasty bamboo design yixing teapot of rectangular shape. It is dated to the Tongzhi period (1862-1874), late Qing dynasty. All the sides are shaped with the bamboo design, including the spout as well as the handle. The cover has two bamboo leave of dark green colour. On the base of the teapot, it shows the Tongzhi reign mark of the Qing dynasty. Also on the cover, it bears the seal mark of either the potter or the seal carver.

This is a Han dynasty funerary pottery tripod censer of grey colour, painted with pigment. There are traces of red and white colour pigment on the body as well as on the edge. The tripod censer stands on three short pediform feet. The holes above the body and the raising of the three feet suggests that it may have been used as an incense burner. Such tripod censer in good condition is hard to come by.

Such big ear cup with design motives is rarely seen and in such good condition. This piece was discovered from the sea. This accounts for the loss in the green glossy glaze, but a more mat green and whitish colour on the ear cup. It has both patterns and line motive design like clouds on the side and the base of the cup.

Rare Warring States, circa 475–221 BCE, squat gray pottery jar, with incised wave, impressed diamond and large carved spiral patterned bands. The spiral pattern is quite interesting as this is usually only seen on archaic jade bi from the period. Some of the tips of the spiral are broken otherwise superb condition considering its delicacy and age. The surface absorbs water very quickly with a distinct petrichor scent.
