This is a fine old Japanese Porcelain vase from a rare Artist. The vase is very heavy and it stands 12 inches tall. The vase is decorated in underglaze blues and reds much like some of the Makuzu Kozan Pieces. There is an unknown impressed signature on the bottom. Maybe someone in Japan will recognize the signature of this fine studio artist. The vase was once a lamp and the hole has been nicely restored.

The designs on the top continue onto all 4 sides and the attention to details are really amazing. Dates Late Edo to Early Meiji. Condition is excellent as this came from a private collection. 19c netsuke of 5 boys playing blind man’s buff with 4 of them hiding behind a floor screen, while the blindfolded one is searching on the other side. Rare subject, wonderful carving, nice faces, very good etching of a landscape and pine saplings on the screen, beautiful wear and patina. Length 1 9/16 inches.

The texture of this thick indigo-dyed cotton has the characteristics of the Edo period. Shibori thread remains in several places.
There is no stain. There is one small hole.
The lining has brushed cotton and is double-layered.

This is japanese antique idigo dye cotton boro long noragi Shonai sashikoused in the Shonai region of Yamagata Prefecture during the Meiji period. (1868-1911)
The indigo dyeing on the back is also very charming.
Thick hand-spun cotton cloth is layered and sewn with Sashiko stitching.

This is Japanese Antique Textile Excellent shibori (Tie-dye)& sashiko stitch Farmer's Vest at the Meiji era.(1890~1910)
This item was made in the Meiji era in Hirosaki prefecture, Aomori prefecture. Almost unused. All sashiko are hand-stitched. Indigo dyed cotton and shibori (Tie-dye) & sashiko stitch are wonderfully beautiful.

This is a Japanese antique indigo dye cotton Boro noragi old Farmclothes Thick of patched and sashiko stitch Meiji (1868-1912).
It was repaired many times, and the boro rag that were used became wonderful folk art by themselves.
The patchwork & sashiko stitch of the indigo dye cotton for the repaired is very beautiful.
The string of the repair is also charming. This noragi can enjoy both sides.
