Beyond saying Bakelite and unusual, how do I describe this bracelet. Fine porcelain large bowl with profusely hand painted decorations in traditional Imari colors and motifs. A impressive size measuring 11 3/4 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches high in excellent condition. A fine piece would make a great addition to any collection.

Description: A 12th-13th century sandstone Buddha's head was from Khmer(Cambodia). With well carvings, the facial expression was serene in smiling joy which exemplify the Buddha's grand kindness. In Bayon style, the piece would originally have been part of a much larger Buddhamuchalinda. A garment-hook or belt-fitting in the shape of a horse, made of bronze with green patination. According to the Brooklyn Museum, these belt hooks in the form of a horse come from Lelang, one of three commandaries, or colonies, that the Chinese established in northwest Korea during the Han dynasty and that lasted more than four hundred years (108 B.C.E.–313 C.E.).
