A Chinese elongated pear form peachbloom glazed vase with everted rim. An attractive "liver" spot on one side of the vase. The glaze nicely controlled - stopping neatly, inside and outside, evenly above the crisply defined foot rim. At least early 19th century and possibly late 18th century. Excellent condition. This Matl signed by Matilde Poulat is one of the nicest demi's I have seen. Signed with 2 stamps and the Matl stamp indicate an early jewel. The long tail is very rare and sought after. the chain is clustered with turqoise and half way up it meets a larger clustered jewel link that leads to the back clasp with the gorgeous S links. All this workmanship on a demi is very rare. The length is 16in. wearable and the drop is approximately 2in. by 2in...

Emeralds (birthstone for May) have been thought to bring wisdom and preserve love. These sweet bright green emerald earrings are made from unmarked but tested 14kt rose gold. They are 13/16” long, and the buttercup settings measure 1/2” across. The stones measure 5-1/2mm across. I believe the ear wires used to have hooks to slip into, but those are not present and the stubs have been smoothed over. One of the emeralds is chipped in the back, but both stones face up well...
