Trained in engineering and drafting, he meticulously works out his designs to scale on graph paper. His workmanship is precise and scrupulous with each component made by hand and every piece one of a kind. This intricate pin is 2 1/4" long and 1 3/8" wide. Mashiko-ware yunomi (tea cup),new. This is a kata (mold) made yunomi, refered to in the local Mashiko dialect as a "mambo" yunomi. It has been a standard production item in Mashiko for many years.
