A very large (oburi) and powerful Shino chawan by Miyamura Yoshinobu very reminiscent of Hayashi Shotaro's works. Thick splashes of pure white Shino glaze punctuate the rusty red Aka-Shino glaze which covers the entire teabowl.

This chawan measures 5.4" X 4" and is in perfect condition and comes with it's signed box.

Spectacular Hi-iro defines this sake set by Konishi Toko II enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Various shades of color scorch the undecorated flame licked raw earth. A pleasure to drink from in every aspect, every cup offering a new facet. The tokkuri is 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, cups 2-1/4 inches (6 cm) diameter and all is in perfect condition. Toko, of course, learned from his father Toko I (1899-1954) and was succeeded by his own son Toko III.

The glaze on this sculpted form by The Bear of Echizen Kumano Kuroemon (also Kurouemon) is covered in the most fantastic crustations of glaze. Thick white over scarred red over shatterd black on an unconventional shape the artist has titled marukawara (round tile). It has Tomo everything, Artists history, wrapping cloth, with his ubiquitous calligraphy all over the signed box. The piece is 29 x 17 x 8 cm (11-1/2 x 6-1/2 x 3 inches) and is in perfect condition.

Large blue & white, sometsuke chawan with a vivid pine branch, matsu, stretching across the bowl. This chawan is by Kondo Hiroshi, son of Kondo Yuzo, Living National Treasure. Working in his father's unique style, Kondo Hiroshi is very well exhibited, collected and published in Japan and abroad.
