This unusual Bizen chawan was made Sakauchi Ensen (b. 1922) of Okayama Prefecture and is unique even among the richly diverse styles of Bizen-yaki. This interesting melon shape agate snuff bottle is 1 ½ inches tall, 2 ¼ inches wide and 3quarters of an inch thick. It depicts a young boy climbing a tree.
