This subtle, yet impressive mizusashi is by modern Karatsu legend; Nakazato Takeshi (b. 1937). A bottle encrusted in charred Shino glaze by Kumano Kurouemon enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shino Bin.  Here and there about the surface can be seen kutsuki, areas where other things fused to the flask during the firing and were severed after.  He has dimpled the base, so that despite the audacious appearance, it sits firm and flat on the surface.
