A beautiful vessel / seashell Kara of organic shape with a sideways, seedpod opening in mat mottled turquoise glaze producing a feeling of underwater ambiance. Curvelicious; I am not certain that is a real word but aptly defines this evasive form of this Koro incense burner by Tamba superstar Ichino Masahiko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Senmon Koro. Refined elegance in coloration and line, a removable lid allows access to the ash-chamber where incense cones could be burned.

An exquisite Mizusashi in white glaze over dark gray clay by Sakata Keizo titled Hagi Haku-yu Zundo Mizusashi. It features a black lacquered wooden lid, contrasting starkly with the white glaze, like a frozen dark lake in snow. The vessel is 20 cm (8 inches) diameter, 18.5 cm (7-1/2 inches) tall and in perfect condition.

Elegant tall temmoku vase with stamped lugs at the neck. This glaze is very visually intriguing as it appears different when viewed in different light sources. The surface is covered in a frogskin texture that looks like small oilspotting.
