A very pretty 14K yellow gold ring bezel-set with an oval gold quartz stone flanked by shoulders set with fused natural 24K gold nuggets. The quartz has good color and is generously streaked with gold in well-balanced pattern. Gold quartz jewelry originally became fashionable during the California gold rush and then again when gold was discovered in Alaska just before the turn of the 20th century. The shank is marked “14K” and has an illegible maker’s mark.

A pretty 18Kyellow gold pin in the shape of a salamander from the reign of Emperor Napoleon III. Animal brooches were very popular in the mid-19th century, and reptiles were especially favored. The salamander has a long history in France, and was the personal symbol of King François whose rule began in the late 15th century. A colorful pair of 14K yellow gold earrings by popular New York jewelry designer Sonia Bitton, whose collections have been sold at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The earrings feature round cut amethysts, citrines, peridots, blue zircons, pink tourmalines and garnets, each set in a movable bezel. Anyone looking for an antique diamond engagement ring, this is the ring you should look at. Dating back to the 1920-s is this beautifully created openwork 18Kt white gold six-prong basket setting that holds a 1.09 Ct old-mine diamond. The diamond is not certified, but our in-house gemologist graded it to be L color and VS2 clarity. This stone has a lot of sparkle, and the setting enhances that look. This ring was made by hand with exquisitely detailed openwork of leaves carved in yellow gold, 15 small rubies, three diamonds set in white gold diamond shapes.
