ONE OF A NUMBER BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP**This is a small etching (the sheet 4 7/8" by 6 1/2" inside the reddish mat, 9 1/2" by 11" framed), pencil signed at lower right by the noted California artist HARRIET GENE ROUDEBUSH (1908-1998), and titled at lower left margin "Cypress Trees at the Beach". The scene is dominated by an old, impressive coast cypress tree with lots of character, its sheltering branches framing more distant offshore rock and a church with twin steeples...

For the collector of contemporary art, this is an unusual mixed media work signed at lower right by MARGARET HEHMAN (known since 1985 as Margaret Hehman-Smith). The work (11 3/4" by 16 3/8", 20 1/2" by 25 1/4" as framed behind glass) is executed with ochre chalky paint over a thin highly polished aluminum sheet. The artist has a website, which shows that she grew up in Pennsylvania, and studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles in the mid 1970s, with some study in Europe as well...

A really well executed oil on canvas painting of a hammock of dry land in the Everglades of southern Florida, a summer cumulus cloud at right about to become a thunderhead, 18" by 24" (22" by 28" framed), circa late 1960's or early 1970's, signed at lower right by listed artist EDWARD ARTHUR EVANS (1895-). Evans, it appears (after a focused internet search), was born in 1895 in Muskogee, Oklahoma...

Original charcoal and pastel drawing by Wade Reynolds (USA, 1929-2011). This work is in excellent condition. Signed l.r. and inscribed: "For Harry--Merry Christmas 1977". 14" by 18" work alone, 21" by 25" in its gallery frame. Wade Reynolds was a L.A. California artist well known for his striking nudes. His work was widely exhibited: Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Art, Miami Institute of Fine Art, etc.

Irving Amen's works are most commonly prints, as he is considered a master print maker in woodblock, etching, lithography and silk screen; this example appears to be etching or etching with aquatint. He also executed oils and acrylics in the course of a long career. This work, titled at lower left in pencil "Love & Peace" and numbered there 31/200 examples, is signed in pencil at lower right. The print measures 20 1/4" by 14 3/4" inside the mat (32" by 23" as framed)...

An incredible work most likely done in Ireland and shows a beautiful townscape in gouache

Alexander Ney Russian American contemporary sculptor "Silver Mask" sterling silver clad mask in an African style 2 holes at sides for wearing or mounting , This was most likely made as a pendant signed N2 size 2.5" by 1.75" . This is from a very rare group of early miniature pieces most all were initialed in this way. Developing several individualistic styles in modern art, he is most famous for his unique work in terra cotta sculpture, involving heavily perforated surfaces and intriguing forms...

Oil on canvas painting, 18 1/2" by 24 1/2" including the thin red wood frame, circa 1960's or 1970's, signed on the stretcher "John J. Molino". I don't see a listing for the name so offer the painting as a decorative mid century item. It is quite a colorful and dramatic work and will beautifully complement your Eames Era modern decor. I think there's a little bit of Stuart Davis color and imagery in this. Note how the paint is raised in the hard-edge striping. The painting is a little dusty...

A beautiful silvery-themed oil on Masonite painting of birch trees in a snowy winter landscape, by the noted California artist VERNON KERR (1938-1982). The work measures 20" by 16" (27 1/2" by 23 1/2" in silvery-goldish frame), is signed at lower left and signed again and titled "Winter Sleeping" on reverse, along with the artist's reference numbers and copyright statement. This is an excellent example of Kerr's work, likely dating to the 1960's or 1970's...

A nicely worked watercolor featuring the green farmland and coastal mountains of Ireland, signed at lower right by noted, listed Irish artist SAM MCLARNON (1923-2013). The circa 1970's work, 11 1/4" by 18" (17" by 23" in inexpensive modern framing), is in excellent fresh condition, the colors not faded. One can almost smell the oceanic air. There is some record that McLarnon has had auction records in the past as high as $10,000 but I cannot verify that information...

This is a most unusual and appealing pop art painting (unframed, 27" by 35") by a mid-coast California artist, Tom Shultz (1943-2017). Works by the artist, who passed away in his mid seventies, have been exhibited at a number of galleries, particularly in the Paso Robles area of central California...
