Small oil on canvasboard contemporary painting of high mountains in the western United States, or, possibly, Canada, unframed, 6" by 9", signed at lower left with what appears as "Wingsford", "Wingard" or similar. One of two works by this artist in my shop is this watercolor on paper, measuring 8 1/4" by 13 5/8" inside the mat, 14" by 19" as framed, signed at lower right by the noted American nineteenth century artist GEORGE HERBERT MCCORD (1848-1909). This is a nicely painted work by an artist considered to be among the "second generation" of Hudson River School painters. McCord was from the New York and New Jersey area, but he painted in Europe, and for a time in the western United States...

Three fine engravings of Mount Vernon, Monticello, and Independence Hall, nicely mounted and framed together vertically. The framed piece measures 16 1/2" by 11". These appear to be the same images that appear on US currency, and the very high quality of the printing (intaglio?) is similar. One wonders if these have been produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, either as printing proofs, or perhaps as official souvenirs to be sold in a gift shop setting...

This etching is hand signed in pencil lower right and printed on a medium weight laid type paper.

Jean Baptiste Camille Corot 1796-1875 French This is a fine rich impression of the well known Corot etching Souvenir of Italy, this was first created in 1863, and printed in three states, including later ones with the publishers information at the bottom edge of the sheet. This one does not have that so may be an earlier or possibly later impression. The image measures 12 9/16X9 3/8 inches, printed on an antique laid type paper. Very fine condition, matted not framed...
