Ottavio Padovanino, Italian, 1582-1634. This stunning drawing is red chaulk and pencil on paper mounted on paper. It is 15"H by 10.6"W with the name Padovanino handwritten in pencil on the paper below the drawing. Verso is written Alessandro Varotari, Verona, 1588-1648, "Le Padovau...." The condition is good with minor foxing and a darkened edge due to framing. It was in a private collection in Chicago.

An ink on paper drawing in striking Surrealism style, signed with initials RM at lower left within the imagery by the noted Mexican muralist, painter and illustrator ROBERTO MONTENEGRO (1887-1968). The subject is a Dali style clock face, a skeletal hand pointing, and other strange almost biomorphic shapes completing the imagery. Drawing on paper executed in soft pencil, 7" by 8 1/4", essentially unframed (in a protective frame only), the subject an arid desert landscape butte under a crescent moon, the drawing signed at lower left "ARCH SINCLAIR". There is a listing for an Archie Sinclair (1895-), a student of Henry Keller. Sinclair is listed in many reference works. He is said to be associated with Oregon, so, this might be a scene from the dry eastern part of that state. Evidently he worked in the east as well...

Original ink on paper drawing of four ducks in flight over a swamp or marsh, circa 1930's, signed at lower right with initials "P.Z.", which appears to correspond with inscription on backing "Painted or sketched by Paul Zeeze". A naive ink drawing, possibly by a child, charmingly titled "EXCHANGES", featuring a mounted cowboy on right firing at an Indian with chief's headdress, firing an arrow at the cowboy while crouching behind a protective rock. A cactus at far left and steer skull at right complete the composition. Probably dates to the early to mid 20th century. It is a simple image, but states a message in a rather straightforward manner.
