This is an original etching and aquatint by American artist Kerr Eby. The title is Refugees, a study from his series of WWI images that he created as a War Artist. This pencil signed impression has an image size of 9 15/16X14 7/8 inches. This impression was last sold by Keppel in New York, it came to us in the original frame. A dramatic rich impression printed by the artist himself.

Poem 71-76 is a yellow-gold print with a bit of a paisley influence. It is number 28 of an edition of 154. Created in 1971, it measures 13in wide x 19.5in high. It is in very good condition. There is tape residue on the back but the front is perfect. .

This is a fine original etching by British artist Gerald Brockhurst, The title is La Tresse, a portrait of his wife Anais done in 1926. This image is pencil signed and has an image size of 8 3/8X 6 7/8 inches. Cat. Fletcher 56. Nicely framed with archival materials.
A small etching, 5 1/4" by 4" (13 1/2" by 10 1/2" in wood frame) featuring the famous familiar front view of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the foreground including the famous bookstalls and a number of figures, signed in the plate (in reverse) "Slanska" and with penciled "Eau-fort original/Slanska" in the lower margin. The name seems to be of Czech origin, and I have not located information on the artist. There is evidence of very slight hand coloring in blue, yellow and pink...
Etching in medium brown ink on very delicate tissue-like Japan paper, the subject identified at lower left margin as "Robert Louis Stevenson House", pencil signed at lower right by the important Caifornia plein air artist MARY DeNEALE MORGAN (1868-1948). The subject is a circa 1830's adobe from the Mexican era, which sheltered many visitors to Monterey over the decades, including, in 1879, the writer Robert Louis Stevenson. Young Flute Player is the title of an oil painting by Benedetto Luti from the 1720’s, now in the Hermitage. An earlier version by Luti depicted a young boy in a blue jacket without any instrument. This engraving, made by Victor Marie Picot was published in London in 1780 as Boy and Lute, obviously mixing up the motif and the artist (!). Contributing to this is probably the Walpole family crest having been pushed in between the letters of the title...
