Description: Watercolor Miniature Portrait of Madame Lebrun, in sitting position and painting. Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (Marie Élisabeth Louise; 16 April 1755 – 30 March 1842) was a French painter, and is recognized as the most famous woman-painter of the eighteenth century. The portrait is 3" in height and 2.5" wide and housed in a gilt bronze frame. Great condition. Shipping is FREE within the U.S ONLY!

A most interesting circa 1960's work featuring a group of older, mostly one story buildings in a town, those buildings apparently of stone, judging from the earthy colors. A dark blue sky elegantly sets off the earth tones, making for an interesting play of light and color. Brush strokes are vigorous and sure. The painting is oil on canvasboard, measuring 9" by 13" (12 3/4" by 16 1/2" framed), signed with initials that could be "CB" at lower right...

By the well-listed American artist JOSEPH MARGULIES (1896-1984) is this etching and aquatint print officially titled "Forever at Study", featuring two orthodox Jewish men studying the Holy Books. The work measures 10" by 12 1/4" inside the present mat opening and 15 1/4" by 19 1/4" as framed. Margulies was active in the New York City area and on Cape Ann in Massachusetts (Gloucester area)...

This subject is likely famed dancer Isadora Duncan, to whom Walkowitz was introduced in Paris around 1920. He executed it is estimated some 5,000 drawings and watercolors of her, as he was fascinated with the fluidity of her movement and never tired of trying to capture it...

This is an excellently and intricately carved boxwood very charming netsuke,made by the native of Ukraine Alexander Derkachenko. It depicts a seated Okame who is laughing as she holds a large Cucumber. Signed in seal form. Netsuke is stained in tan and brown colors. It measures 1.21 inches (3.1cm) wide, and 1.52 inches (3.8cm) tall. It is in outstanding condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.
