Original etching with aquatint by Luigi Kasimir (Austria-Hungary, 1881-1962) depicting the harbor in Bremen, Germany, circa 1930-1940. Signed by the artist (not an estate signature). A rare original etching by an important artist. One of a number of works by this artist currently available.

Old American landscape with trees framing a lake, 8" by 10", 12" by 13 3/4" in the gold frame, signed at lower right with name "H. Wolosky". The oil on board work probably dates to the 1920's or 1930's. I do not see an obvious artist name that I could link to this piece. A Cooper Union (New York City) old circular label remains affixed to the back of the board. Condition is vintage good, no problems.

Oil on canvas laid on Masonite, 20" by 16" (27" by 23" nicely framed in gold California style frame by Summit Frames of San Diego), unsigned, attributed to the famed American sculptor and artist, JOHN GUTZON BORGLUM (1867-1941). The painting features a large tree such as would be found in a California redwood or sequoia forest. The attribution comes in the form of some cryptic notes on paperwork affixed to the reverse side, and a placard placed on the front side...

Oil on board painting of colorful flowers in a blue ceramic vessel on a tabletop, 20" by 26" (26 1/2" by 32 1/2" as framed), apparently unsigned, the work dating to probably the years around 1930. There is an old crack at upper right as shown, not especially visible to the casual viewer, and I note some flaking and unstable paint in the lower 1/4 of the painting (see bright yellow underpaint showing through----ask for more detailed photos of this).

A vintage watercolor by an unknown amateur artist, titled at bottom "Santa Barbara Mission", unframed, measuring 14 1/2" by 11 3/4". The work on old paper would appear to date to maybe the 1930's or early 1940's at latest---think the "Route 66" era of travel in the American West (though this site is not on or near Route 66). It was likely created by or for a tourist. Note the Native Americans at center in the reflecting pool or fountain...

**ONE OF A NUMBER WORKS BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP**, this is an etching on paper print, 8 5/8" by 10 1/2" inside the mat (14 1/4" by 16 1/4" as framed), signed in pencil at lower left by noted western American artist GEORGE ELBERT BURR (1859-1939). At lower right is written the title of the work, "Summer Cloud--Apache Trail--Ariz". Burr's etchings and watercolors of the Great Southwest, especially Arizona and Colorado, are eagerly sought after by collectors...

Stated "One of twenty" prints by illustrator and children's book publisher. Helena Chase Johnson. The print is also marked "For Norman" along with her signature. An interesting note -- Chase owned The Little Hotel by the Sea (located at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.) The hotel boasted of having a beautiful six-passenger mahogany elevator, making it "The Littlest Hotel in the World with an Elevator."

Yasuo Kuniyoshi 1893-1953 Japanese /American This is an original lithograph created by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi. The title is Burlesque Queen, it was created and printed in 1936 for the American Artists School in New York City. It was created in an edition of 100. The image measures 11 5/8X9 1/2 inches. This image is plate signed as issued, it is inscribed in pencil lower left "100 prints". The sheet has the AAS blind stamp in the lower border and with a partial ink stamp...
