The title of this work was : Base of the Chrysler Building, New York, It was created and printed circa 1930, pencil signed and titled in the lower border, the image measures 14 5/8X10 3/16 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

A charming drawing of a village square and church, in graphite, a little wash, and perhaps chalk, on mellow, soft laid paper, 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" (17 1/4" by 13 1/2" in inexpensive modern framing), signed at lower right by the French artist and illustrator RENE ROUSSEL (1885-1962). The artist though undeniably talented, has unfortunately and unjustly become obscure, little known to today's collectors. It took an internet search to find his birth and death dates and assemble a biography of sorts....

Old American landscape with trees framing a lake, 8" by 10", 12" by 13 3/4" in the gold frame, signed at lower right with name "H. Wolosky". The oil on board work probably dates to the 1920's or 1930's. I do not see an obvious artist name that I could link to this piece. A Cooper Union (New York City) old circular label remains affixed to the back of the board. Condition is vintage good, no problems.
