Original drawing in ink and gold paint on white paper, 6 1/2" by 6" (18 1/2" by 16" in tasteful silver leaf framing, with Plexiglas), signed at lower right and dated at lower left 10 V 93 by the noted American graphic artist and painter JAYME ODGERS (1939-). The image appears to be of an abstracted face. Odgers was instrumental in the late 1970's revamping of California design. He was involved in creating poster images for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games...

In superb extra clean/fresh condition, after a circa 1964 work by the famous Surrealist SALVADOR DALI (1904-1989) a print on silk "El Arbol de la Penitencia, Purgatory, Canto XXIV", 36" by 36" as mounted to a stretcher. Some say these are scarves; I am not certain so call it printed on silk or silk-like material. A naïve Americana print, "Bears Bears Bears", numbered 1348/1375, signed at lower right by noted highly collected American 20th century folk art artist JANE WOOSTER SCOTT (1920-). This print Z-446B was one of a small number of creations that he put on hard, gold-edged board. Daniel Tretiak wrote that these prints “were printed first on very thin paper, which was then ‘wrapped’ around heavy shikishi board. They are lithographs not done from wood blocks. Done in 1999, this work measures 7.25in x 8.25in, is in excellent condition, and one of an edition of 77.

This dramatic Big Red—a name Daniel Tretiak attached to Haku Maki’s large red prints, usually of single Chinese characters (kanji) on black backgrounds—is a character meaning ordinary or commonplace. But Maki has done it in a stand-out way. It is 17.5in W x 24.5inH. A very decorative, fan-shaped painting on canvas of winged putti, in Old Master style, 27" by 45" as framed, bearing a signature at lower left center, appearing as "Maffei A.". The work likely dates to about 1970, and is likely the work of a quality workshop producing decorative pieces for visitors to Italy.
