Circa 1900 American pastel landscape drawing, 22 1/2" by 9 3/4" (29" by 15" framed), apparently unsigned, in the style of William Chandler and the pastel school of the period. The work is framed behind non-glare glass, which blurs the detail. Condition appears to be excellent. The vertical format would fit your hard-to-fit narrow wall. Figure 1 is one of a large group of prints that were themselves usually large in size and in subject—one Chinese character in red on a black background. Daniel Tretiak called these prints Big Reds. Maki tended to insert one or more of such prints in the Figure, Poem and Work series. This Figure is number 8 of an edition of 50. It measures 14in wide X 21.75in high. There is tape residue on all four sides of the back—it has no impact on the front...

A nicely painted watercolor of wild roses, signed at lower right by artist M. J. Gage, circa 1900. Found in Boston area, The work measures 6 1/4" by 12 1/4" inside the double mat and 14" by 18" as framed in oak. Colors are fresh considering that this is a century old. Clean and ready for the wall.

Costigan, John Edward American (1888-1972) large watercolor of a brook surrounded by trees some turning red and orange with the season. Watercolor and gouache on textured paper. Signed lower right, “J.E. Costigan N.A.” On the back in the upper left in pencil, “Brook- Autumn/ by John E. Costigan N.A.” and in the upper right, “Orangeburg N.Y.” Size, 20 7/8 by 25 7/8 inches.

American Modernism Landscape 1937 Connecticut Artist Oil 22x26” In it’s original frame made by the artist. Unsigned oil on artist board.

An oil on Masonite painting of a red roofed mill with the mill pond in the foreground and a barn against a hill in the distance. Painted in an unusual palette that includes lavender. I have been unable to find a listing for the artist. In a new frame. 10 by 12 inches, with frame 12.5 by 14.5 inches.

Condition: excellent.

Though it is difficult to date, I suspect it is from the middle of the 20th century and most likely to be American.

Poster of 1986, "EGE ART LINE TOUR", 27 1/2" by 19 3/4", unframed, hand signed in somewhat faded marker by the noted Danish modern artist, PER ARNOLDI (1941-). This offset poster is not in great condition, having been tightly rolled for a long time, and it is dusty and has some digs in the paper, and edge damage as shown (what appears as diagonal scratch at upper right is light reflecting in scratch on the Plexi)...

Roux-Champion 1944). The drawing is a work of noted French artist VICTOR JOSEPH ROUX-CHAMPION (1871-1953). Condition is excellent with fresh colors and no water damage or foxing. The artist's works are offered at auction in England and the Continent.
