There is a roughly rectangular pressed-in area of the paper at lower left and some wrinkling of the extremely delicate thin paper at bottom...

The title is: Dragon Boat Festival, this etching was created and printed in 1929 in an edition of 100, this one is numbered as 42/100. This pencil signed etching measures an image of 11 7/8X9 7/8 inches. It is nicely framed in an orientalist frame with french matting.

A fine portrait of a lovely young girl, oil on canvas, 14" by 10 1/2", unframed, signed at upper left by listed French artist MAURICE JACQUET (1877-). Jacquet seems to have painted mainly portraits of young women, but a few landscapes are known. This work has just been cleaned and relined, as when found it had a very dry blanched unstable surface, and some loss areas...
