"The Sleigh Ride" Oil on board, 26" x 21" framed, 19.5" x 14.75" unframed, circa 1855 Jan Walraven is a Dutch artist popular for his depiction of children and as seen in this wonderful piece, sleigh rides. Jan Walraven's art typlifies the Dutch style, which he executes masterfully. He is a well listed artist and this would make a wonderful addition to the finest art collection.

Found recently in Maine, this is an antique oil on board painting, 12" by 14 3/4" as framed, unsigned, the subject purple grapes and a ripe peach, the autumnal grape leaf suggesting the season of harvest, all on a marble ledge or table, with a distant view beyond. The gray academy board, style and framing suggest a date of execution of about 1880. The painting is very American in feeling, bordering on folk art as there's a naivete. The frame has wear and an obvious loss at lower left corner...

An ink on paper drawing of a man holding a cigarette, unsigned, 6 3/8 " by 5 3/4" inside the mat (12 1/2" by 10 1/2" simply framed). When I first saw this my thoughts drifted to accomplished ink line drawings by the American master artist Ben Shahn, or, possibly, German Expressionism (Georg Grosz, etc.). Bronze Nude circa 1920 measuring 13.5” height 7x6” base. Alfredo Pina (1883-1969) a student of Auguste Rodin, was an artist and sculptor of Italian origin. He created portrait busts of Beethoven and Wagner and others. His famous bust of Victor Hugo is located in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. He was born in 1883 in Milan. The second largest city in Italy was also the workplace of the famous artist Leonardo da Vinci. He studied in Milan at the Accademia di Brera. …...

A winter scene print by noted watercolorist and illustrator, Howard Watson. Watson was the "Artist in Residence" at the White House during the Carter Administration.There are tiny thumbtack punctures at the very end corners of the print(not impacting the print and not visible). Professionally framed, the print measures approximately 23" x 20" (probably larger but not measured out of frame). The frame itself is 28-1/2" x 25".

A watercolor on organic natural wafer of a somewhat older woman wearing a blue jacket with fur edging, a pearl choker, and a rust colored cap with lace. The unusual characteristics of the piece are the hand decorated paper surround and that the painting is in a frame that slides into a close fitting leather case.

The condition of the painting is excellent, with no issues, while the case has exterior wear but is structurally sound. Sight size is 2: by 1 5/8", and the case is 2 7/8" by 2 1/8"
