The measurements are 21 1/2" by 17 1/2" as framed, the mat window 14" by 10 3/4". A look at the drawing evokes the words "Old Master drawing". From having checked the 1981 catalog raisonne by Daniel Marchesseau, I have determined that the most official title of this work is "Fillette aux Yeux Vertes" ("Young Girl with Green Eyes", although a number of other titles are in common usage for this essually popular print)...

Rare original lithograph by Franz Bernheimer (Germany, USA, Israel, 1911-1997). Signed in pencil l.r. and dated 1958. Also numbered No35 in pencil l.l. Bernheimer was born in Germany. He studied art in Munich and Zurich before WWII. He escaped Nazi Germany and emigrated to the USA via Cuba. He taught at Brooklyn College, at Sweet Bryar College, and eventually moved to Israel where he taught at Haifa University.

Bio: Charles Henry Humphriss (1867-1934) was born in England but lived for many years in Pleasanton, New York with a studio in New York City. By the Liege, Belgium-born artist ARMAND HENRION (1875-1958), a fine color etching in oval shape, of two clowns in full makeup, pencil signed and numbered 19/500. The artist is known today for his wonderfully expressive depictions of the clown, as well as mime reactions. Most of the works are actually self portraits. The depictions in these portraits reveals an affinity for humanity rarely captured in portraiture...

This was acquired from a local family who related that it was painted in Germany by their relative. The work is nicely painted by an obviously talented hand. Condition is very good. Frame is wood.

Meet Captain William Hathaway, of Brooklyn NY, who passed away in 1834, according to the original section of his obituary, which was found inside the case of the miniature. Please note the gold anchor centered on his ruffled shirt.

The painting is finely done, with no condition issues. Any apparent flaws are due to my poor photographic skills. The in-person brightness is about midway between the first two photos...

This pencil signed image measures 9 3/8X13 1/2 inches. It is numbered as 14/25 and came from the collection of Henry Emil Scherer. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet. Two of her lithographs are in the collection of National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Set of THREE Italian circa 1946 paintings on canvas, in decorative gold matching frames, unsigned, each 9" by 11 1/4" as framed, the subject familiar scenes of Venice, executed in the classical eighteenth century style of Canaletto or Guardi. These works were commonly produced for the tourist trade by talented artists. This set evidently dates to the immediate post-war period, as one bears a date stamp on reverse, 3 Ottobre 1946 and a "Made in Italy" circular sticker...
