Rare oversize original etching by Frank Brangwyn (England-Wales, born in Belgium, 1867-1956) of Notre Dame De Paris. Signed in pencil by the artist lower right. This work is #231 in the Catalogue Raisonne, and dates from 1914. 22" by 29" etching alone, 35" by 42" in its period frame. Brangwyn is an important artist of the Arts and Crafts period.

A large and beautifully painted portrait miniature by Aimee Thibault. Done in watercolor on organic wafer, the work shows a distinguished older gentleman of serious mien, set against a dark background, in a black tie and jacket with a white shirt and collar. The size of the miniature is due to Thibault having worked in France for a large part of her life, where such portraits were often done on a much grander scale than miniatures in the U.S...

An excellent example of 1960s French Modernism, this painting is by the renowned painter Franck.L. and is an early work by this respected artist who is still producing. Born in 1944, he started exhibiting in 1966 and his works have been shown at the Musee d’Art Moderne in Paris. This work is an untitled still life and it was purchased for a London, Ontario home in 1969...

A strong oil on wood portrait of a gentleman sporting a long ponytail, and wearing a large black hat, a ruffled white shirt, a brownish-gray jacket. Cleverly executed to look like the painting is oval and in a mat, in actuality the entire surface is painted and is not a mat.

The condition of this work is excellent, with no issues or restoration. The frame, which is modern, nicely complements this work sight size is 6 1/2" by 4 1/2", with the framed size being 8 3/4" by 7".

We've seen a fair amount of Kilburne watercolors, as he was a pretty prolific artist of his day, but we think this is one of his better pieces.
