A totally charming miniature painting of a child, done in watercolor on natural material, and housed in an elaborately molded 15K gold case and surround. The cute sitter is in a white gown and posed against a cloud-filled blue sky, with foliage and a tree to the right. The reverse of the case is glazed, with a lock of hair in the aperture, and a pin so that the miniature can be worn as a brooch.

James Abbott McNeill Whistler 1834-1903 American This is a fine early printing of the well known etching, Bibi Valentin by American artist James M Whistler. This etching created in 1859 is impression II/II before the plate was damaged. It came to us with the original Kappel label on the back. A fine rich impression printed on a thin laid japan type paper. Signed and dated within the plate. Glascow 34.

19th Century American School 1800-1899 American Artists This is an original oil on canvas painting of an Ox and Cart coming down the road. The painting has 3 intials lower right, they seem to read: "W. ?. S." Weve been unable to make out who the artist was. We feel the painting is from the late 1890's and is most likely American in origin. The painting was expertly done. The canvas laid on board measures 19X13 inches and is in a 19th century gilt frame.

This 1862 oil on canvas by the British artist Alfred Vickers measures 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches, signed and dated l.l., housed in original frame, partial European label on back. Born in London, Vickers was a self-taught landscape painter, who exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Academy.

Yasuo Kuniyoshi 1893-1953 Japanese /American This is an original lithograph by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi. It is titled The Cyclist. It was created and printed in 1939 and originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York. The image measures 12 1/2X8 3/4 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper. This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist. One of his images from his circus series.

Arthur J. T. Briscoe, British, 1873-1943, "Typhoon, The Burst Topsail". This dramatic scene by Arthur Brisco measures 8 x 11 3/4 inches and is ink signed and numbered. Published in 1924 on laid paper, cat: Hurst-94, framed. Briscoe was one of the finest marine artists' of the 20th. century. A wonderful pair of miniature portraits of two young near identical twin boys, painted on organic material.
