This is a heavy-for-its size (about six pounds) sculpture in a heavy, dark wood like mahogany (ironwood?), measuring about 10" high by about 5" on a side. In addition to the dark heavy wood, there are carved teeth of bone, and carefully applied white paint detail in the eyes. Carved into the base are the words "Ngambela Mataa". I have googled the term and it seems to be applied to a figure who was in Zambia in the late 19th century to as late as 1928, when there was some murder there...

It is with a feminine pointed pink face and an elaborate crown wearing a top with beaded detail and fringe along with a panel of the same detail over a long batik skirt. A Bunnykins Sheltering Under the Umbrella & Holding Hat and Coat egg cup style 2 footed 1937-1953. This scarce 2-1/2" eggcup was made by Royal Doulton, England and it is the style 2 footed version with the mark in use from 1937-53. It appears to be unused and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs other than a few tiny scrapes to the red overalls on the Hat & Coat side. All condition issues are noted...

A Birks sterling silver sauce boat with under tray dated 1946. The sauce boat measures 5" from the edge of the spout to the outer edge of the curved handle and it stands 2-1/4" tall (excluding the handle) on it's four hoof style feet. The boat has the Birks date mark for 1942 while the 5-5/8 x 3-5/8" tray bears a 1946 date stamp...

Circa 1940's. In excellent condition. The metal lids are in good to very good condition. There is Allspice, Cinnamon, Cloves and Ginger. They are marked Tipp USA. Price is for each shaker.
