Written by Esther Stevens Brazer, this is a Memorial (Second) Edition published in 1947 by the Pond-Ekberg Company. The gray linen boards show some wear with creases at the corners, and the gilt pastedown label is smudged. The front free paper is clipped and the pages are uncut. A former library copy that is in good condition. Profusely illustrated. 265 pp.

This vintage stanhope piece is a very rare find. It shows 6 historical landmarks of Northern Ireland, through the tiny peeper glass in the middle of its well-known, wild boar. The pictures and views, within the charm / pendant display 'A Memory of BALLYCASTLE:' GOLF LINKS, MURLOUGH BAY, ROPE BRIDGE CARRICK-a-REDE, MARINE ROAD and FAIR HEAD. The views great and clear. This stanhope measures 5/8" x 1/2" x 3/8" tall. It is in excellent condition.

Here is a rare and wonderful photo collage of scenes from the building of the Alaskan Highway (completed in 1943.) Original snapshots. The center photo highlights what appears to be the official ribbon cutting; sixteen photos surround it. Below is a cartoon of a bear taking a picture of a man. Not examined out of the frame. 13" x 15".

Published by Viking in 1947, Kingsport Press. The original dust jacket shows minor wear. A nice tight Book Club edition.

This old tourist travel booklet describes the many places to visit in Mozambique while it was a colony under Portuguese rule. 46 pages ...size 5.5 x 8.75 inches .... There are about 40 black and white photos including one 22 inch long foldout of the capital city of Lourenco Marques. 3 color photos...lions, zebras, and elephants. This booklet is a treasure chest of information for anyone interested in African History

This is a GEORGE WASHINGTON CENTENNIAL PINBACK Political Pin dated 1900. The front image is via transfer printing process applied to base metal. Front reads: NATIONAL CAPITAL CENTENNIAL, 1900; the back has a crossover pin and no safety mechanism. From a Kensington, Maryland Estate, suburb of Washington, D.C. Note the Condition is EXCELLENT

A typed letter on the stationery of famous American novelist, playwright, short story writer EDNA FERBER (1885-1968), dated February 13, 1937, signed in ink by Ferber. It is addressed to a Miss Janet Cohn of Park Avenue, New York, and reads: "Dear Miss Cohn/You wrote to me about a possible dramatization of THE AFTERNOON OF A FAUN. Has the young author ever done any playwriting, or is this his first attempt? Would you be good enough to let me know a little more about him...

This is a Japanese military map of North Asia dated 25th/29th July, 12 Year of Showa reign. This is translated to the 12th year of Emperor Hirohito’s reign. He became emperor in 1926 and died in 1989. Add the 12 year to 1926 that translate the map dating to 1938. This is a general Japanese military map of North Asia of the Japanese troop deployment and the armies that they are fighting against...

This is the French edition published in 1931 by Calmann-Levy. The red boards show signs of wear on the edges and the pages have yellowed. A name is written in blue crayon or pencil on the front endpaper otherwise unmarked.

Unsigned hand-tinted photograph of a stream/pond scene. Image size is 5 7/8 by 3 3/4 inches, mat size is 9 5/8 by 7 5/8 inches. Framed size is 10 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches. Condition is good with a water stain on left side of mat near frame, small white spot on mat in upper right of image. Pre-1940, original frame and backing, very minor damage to lower right frame corner. Horizontal coloration difference is due to lighting when taking photo of framed work, not a flaw.
