MAYO (1861-1939), one of the co-founders of the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The circa 1920 photo is inscribed at bottom margin "To Dr. E. L. Crispin with kind personal regards/W. J. Mayo". William Mayo was a son of country physician W.W. Mayo. Exposed early on to the basics of medicine, he went on to medical school in the 1880's...

Original, HAND SIGNED AND INSCRIBED black and white photo from 1965, of the 36th president of the United States, LYNDON BAINES JOHNSON (1908-1973). Johnson became president upon the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas in 1963. He was elected to the office on his own in 1964. A Democrat, he oversaw the ramping up of the war in Vietnam and landmark social legislation. The photo is inscribed to one Ellen Oshim. The writing reads "To Ellen Oshim/with best wishes. / Lyndon B Johnson"...

Nice vintage embossed Halloween post card showing a boy carrying a black cat past a glowing jack-o'lantern. The illustration is unsigned, but looks like the work of Ellen Clapsaddle. Marked on the front with the letters "LSC" around a circle with a "C" in it. The back is marked "Series 226E". Unused. Circa 1910. Condition: softening along edges, nice color.

A copy of "Many Long Years Ago", 4th edition, 1945, in original dust jacket, HAND SIGNED in blue ink by the noted American poet of light verse, OGDEN NASH (1902-1971). The copy retains a dust jacket which shows its age. Nash was known for his unique poetic style.

A framed PAIR of hand-colored vintage early 20th century photographs of the scenic Pikes Peak area of Colorado, one titled in pencil in margin "Rainbow Falls Manitou, Colo." and the other "A Glimpse of Pikes Peak--Colo.", both pencil signed "Photo-Craft" at lower right margin. Measurements are 9 1/2" by 4 3/4" (photos) and 17 1/2" by 13 1/2" in identical gold frames with green double mat. There is a bit of brownish discoloration in the margin of the waterfall image, as shown...

Albumen photograph of two Bedouin musicians seated in front of a backdrop with their string instruments. Numbered 613 and titled “Joueurs de violon Bedouins” in white in the negative and signed, “Bonfils.” The image is 8 ¾ x 11 inches (22.5 x 28 cm) mounted on card 11 x 13 ½ inches (28 x 34 ½ cm).

Condition; photo in good condition, though the contrast could be a little stronger. Mount discolored, some foxing and soiled along some edges.
