Japanese white solid Porcelain Pestle, heavy weight, 9 1/2" long, 2 1/2" diameter-widest part, with glazed solid white porcelain except tip of round grinding area which is unglazed. The condition is good, no damages. I also have two(2) different size-11 1/2" long and 7 1/2" long, if anyone is interested in different size, please inquire.

A wonderful etched bakelite box that simulates wood. There are scenes on all sides, top and bottom. Stamped on the bottom. Unfortunately, the piece is mottled with stains and a gentle wiping removed some ink. The lid is actually darker than previous pictures ( see last photo). Price is reduced + sold as is. This is a wonderful vintage glass cake plate made by Duncan and Miller for The Indiana Glass Company, ca 1940, in the Banana Fruits pattern, of clear and satin crystal glass, the fruit stained in soft shades of pink, blue, yellow and green, the underside molded in relief with fruit, gilt rim; wear to gilt; 14 _" diam.

A three piece carving set with stag horn handles. The blade has light wear and is marked accordingly. The red shagreen box's satin insert has some brown staining.

A Dutch silver figural sugar sifter spoon from the 1920s. This 5-1/2" nicely detailed table serving spoon features a woman carrying two pails as the finial and the bowl is nicely pierced. It has an obscured maker's mark and a difficult to see sword mark on the join of the handle and bowl and it could date anywhere from the 1900s to the 1950s. It weighs 26.3 grams and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Chinese green Peking Glass Bangle, Bracelet, Ca. 1930's, 3 1/4" diameter- outer size, 1 2/" diameter-inside opening size, for small size hand. the condition is good.

This is a rarely found object as part of Wilhelm Kåge's celebrated Argenta series produced for Gustavsberg. It measures 1 5/8" tall and is 1 7/8" in diameter. On the underside is painted in silver Argenta, the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, Gustavsberg, 958. Impressed is the letter S. Excellent condition. There is crazing, which is normal for the glaze.

This Cambridge Portia pair of double-light candlesticks are gold etched and quite elegantly beautiful... and a bit rare. The swirling crystal clear keyhole holds the gold rimmed candlesticks. The foot is broad covered in the gold etch of baskets of flowers and trailing leaves and flowers that is in perfect condition. The foot is also trimmed in gold ... though there is some very minor gold rub here...

A pair of wood form for tabi socks. It is written the size "9" which is W:7cm, L:21.7cm, H:4.7cm. In good condition but it has the part of the arch of the left foot cut off. The first half of the 20th century.

Japanese brocaded Silk Obi, small silver repeated leaves on double thickness and double sided soft silk, 20" wide, 96" long, very little small spots of stain, otherwise the condition is good.

Vintage small Chinese scholar’s buffalo horn seal of square section, traces of red seal paste in the grooves. The impression of the seal is shown on the first photo where it is flipped left to right to present the image as it will print on paper. Beautiful light colored horn, mellow patina, in great condition. Very nice object for a scholar’s desk. Height 1.48 inches, base 0.58 inches square.

Nine(9) Japanese brown Lacquer on wood sake dishes, many different patterns and designs on each lacquer dishes, 1" high and 4 1/8" diameter-largest, 7/8" high and 3 1/2" diameter-smallest dish, with some dull spots and tiny lacquer loss areas, Sake dishes are stored inside signed wooden box.

This is a silk meisen Haori which is heiyo-gasuri. As for the heiyo-gasuri, warps and wefts are stencil printed separately and then machine-woven. Heiyo-gasuri made it possible to make more vivid, colorful and free design. It has reddish brown flowers with gray and yellow in beige ground. It has silk lining with beautiful stencil-printed flowers pattern and hand-braided cords in front. In excellent condition. Mid 20th century. 128cm x 78cm

Han-haba (half width) obi for casual kimono. Wefts are silk yarn and warps are also black silk yarn. It has softer texture and thinner than sakiori obi. In excellent condition. 20th century. W:15.5cm x 2m92cm

Japanese Metallic Silver and Turquoise color Silk Obi, 156" long, 13" wide, single thickness, one is brilliant color and the other side somewhat faded green and silver metallic color, both ends are folded over and finished.

Japanese round wood Hibachi with Copper Lining, carved out of whole width of tree, 9 1/2" diameter for top rim, 8 1/2" high, thin crack on one(1) side.

This is a silk meisen haori ( jacket ). Meisen textile is a kind of pongee silk which is machine woven and has kasuri ( ikat ) pattern. Meisen kimono was very popular among young women as a casual kimono between 1920s and 1950s and many of them have eye-catching bold and contemporary design. Mid Showa period ( ca. 1940s~50s ). In excellent condition. 126cm x 87cm 49.6" x 34.3"

Vintage Japanese Komai metal obidome (sash ornament) with gold and silver decoration of bamboo stem and leaves. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Nice design, great quality crisp metalwork, two fittings for a cord on the back, a few scratches to the front. Stamped AMITA SILVER on the back. Length 1.18 inches.

1920s small celluloid netsuke of theatrical mask of Okina (old man) used in Sambaso dance. Very nice example of its type. Height 1 1/8 inches.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead of dark blue glass with flower shaped swirls of tan and white. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Very well made, in perfect condition. Height 9/16 inches.

1930s Japanese plastic kushi (hair comb) with embedded gold tone metallic flower design and 2 types of mother of pearl inlays depicting magical rain hat and and Daikoku’s mallet, design continuing on the back. Very well made, wonderful work in Japanese taste, 2 losses to inlays (handle of the mallet and a leaf on the back), otherwise in great condition. Length 3.82 inches. Part of East Coast collection of Japanese hair items.

This rare Morgantown Sunrise Medallion stem has lots going for it. It sits on the increasingly rare Reverse Stem (#7654-1/2) and broad clear foot. The bowl is Art Deco and flared to show off the dancing nude medallions and flaming torches. This stem stands 6 1/8" high and is in excellent, undamaged condition.

Afghanistan Wool grain or Saddle bag made to pillow, cushion, 12" square, all wool material, top is flat woven, geometric design in red wine color and darker camel hair color.

Handsome handcarved wooden ceremonial mask from Kenya. The mask is carved from a single piece of wood. Excellent condition, the back has a screw attached for hanging on the wall. Circa 1970. 12/1-2" x 5-1/4".

Iris & Herringbone was originally made by Jeannette Glass Company from 1928 to 32 during the depression.
