This child's waistcoat is from Indus Kohistan, located in the province of Pakistan formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), recently re-named Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This hand painted Japanese ceramic bowl is an early or mid-20th century product. It is 7 1/8” in diameter and 3” high. It depicts white cherry blossoms and red maple leaves on a milk white crackled background inside and outside. There is a small finger pinch close to the rim. The stamped maker’s mark “Takamine” is near the bottom. It is in great condition.
This textile is from Jaghori in central Afghanistan. It measures 25 x 26 centimeters and is in excellent condition. It is embroidered in cross stitch in silk thread and tightly worked into an overall composition that is very typical of the embroidery from this area.

A good cloisonne vase depicting Mt. Fuji in clouds using 'musen' (wireless) technique with pleasing affect. Persimmon orange-red lacquer with decoration of peony blossoms incised to an under layer of black lacquer in the Kamakura manner (and possibly from one of the ateliers in that town which can still be seen and visited when trekking up the main street to the temples.) This fine pair of Italian lamps came with a store tag attached to one of the switches that said, "Quackenbush Co. Patterson NJ. This was a local department store that existed from the 1800's to the early 1950's, a fact which provides us a date. The lamps appear to have never been used, in excellent condition and are a nicely matched pair On close inspection one can see that the lamps are hand made , yet nearly identical, pointing to the expertise of the Murano Glass Artisans.
Fenton's Cranberry Opalescent glass is one of their most popular treatments. Because it is cased glass (french crystal over gold ruby) every piece must be blown rather than pressed. This hand-work makes each piece unique. Offered here is the 389 jug in their hobnail pattern. This piece was produced from 1940 to 1948 and stands 5 1/2 inches high. Fulvio Bianconi designed the fasce verticale series for Venini. This pair is in good condition. The metal parts show the patina of age. An interesting detail regarding this pair is the rod that runs up the center of the lamp, concealing the wire, is covered with a ribbed clear glass tube which adds an attractive element of finish to the lamps. The lamps are 23" to top of glass.
A fine grouping of stylized creatures including a bird, a duck, a guinea hen, a bowl in crystal with gold aventurine. All of the pieces are in excellent condition, confirmed to me personally to be by Archimede Seguso by his son, Giampolo. Two retain their original Archimede Suguso Murano labels.

Slender and elegant vintage modern glass Nerox lamp by Ermanno Toso is constructed of cool blue and green opalino murrine. The colors remind me of the cool tones of the Venetian Lagoon which has inspired glass design in Murano for centuries. I've seem a pair of this design sell at auction for $9000.! The lamp measures 28.5" to top of glass and 40" to top of bulb socket, is in good condition, and would look great with a slender cylinder shaped shade.

Stylish and very art deco Showa Period C.1930 bronze hanging lamp. The top has undulating waves in the cast and is attached to the body by rings.
