Straddling both sides of the Durand Line, the Mangal tribe are one of the more influential Pashtun tribes. This Mangal textile measures 24.6 x 28 cm and is in excellent condition. Curvilinear and geometric motifs are excecuted in straight stitch, Holbein stitch, and a tightly worked ladder stitch on a plum polyester ground. Estimated age: mid 20th century. This Pashtun textile measures 35 x 35 cm and is embroidered in silk thread on a purple polyester ground. Two mirrors are sewn on as accents in each of the two 14-pointed stars. The embroidery technique is a tightly worked ladder stitch, typical of the embroidery of Katawaz. Condition: Excellent. Estimated age: mid 20th century.

This mid-20th century octagonal shaped blue and white ceramic bowl is 4” high and 6 1/2” in diameter. It is decorated with floral and Daoist related designs both inside and outside. There is “Great Ming Dynasty, Hong Wu Period, month of July” honorable date on the bottom. It is in great condition.
Roman style design by Avem is in excellent condition, 9" tall. The vessels clear body is lightly iridized, has a scavo surface and the handles and thread at the top are aquamarine blue.
Rare modern Glass vase by Anzolo Fuga authenticated by Flavio Fuga, son of Anzolo. From the "RADICI" series, produced in 1960, and described on page 165 in Rosa Barovier Mentasti's book "ANZOLO FUGA", the organic details of the design impart a kinetic element to the piece that renders it exceptional. This beauty is 18"tall and in excellent condition.

A Chinese qinhua or blue and white vase, beautifully painted, in the form often seen in archaic bronzes known as a gu, or a wine vessel. The vase is decorated with framed sections of views of landscapes and scholars near an embankment. The images are surrounded by cloud patterns with the character longevity done in the seal script. The vase has a Kangxi mark, but most likely republic period.

A vintage pierced sterling silver napkin ring c1920s by Roden. Roden was bought out by Birks in 1928. It is stamped STERLING with the Roden company mark. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several decades after. This 1-3/4" across napkin ring is 5/8" wide, and it has (remarkably) never been monogrammed...
