Japanese small format surimono woodblock print by French artist Paul Jacoulet (1902-1960) titled "Chagrins d'Amour. Kusaie, Est Carolines" (Sorrows of Love. Kusaie, East Carolines) published October 26, 1940. The full size image is illustrated on page 60 (plate 70) of “The Prints of Paul Jacoulet” by Richard Miles, 1982 and is described on page 105. Paper size: 5 7/8" x nearly 4 1/8" (image size: 5 9/16” x 3 3/4"). Very good overall condition...

Yukata (cotton unlined kimono) with shibori (tie-dye) whose motifs are tomoe (three-way), aboshi (fishing net being dried) and a logo with the character uma (horse). The shibori techniques are: Miura shibori and Ori-nui shibori (folded and stitched). It is hand-sewn and all tie-dye is by hand. Vegetable indigo dyed. In excellent condition. 20th century. 126cm x 131cm

Two pair of Chinese turquoise glazed foo dog statues.

One pair on stands with the female holding it's young with it's right paw and the male holding a ball with it's left paw. Unglazed bases with the word China in faint on the base in red.

The other pair are in stance. Again with unglazed bases with incised numbers.

Sakiori sodenashi (vest) hand-woven of strips for wefts which are recycled from old indigo dye cotton cloth and warps are asa (hemp) threads. It has some mending patches and wear. The first half of the 20th century. 35cm x 63cm

Seto pottery, dated as early as the 13th century, produced around Seto city in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
It is also considered as one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan.

By Hector Aguilar, the renowned silversmith from Taxco Mexico, this cream and sugar are made of copper with wood handles. They measure 3 5/8" high, and the sugar bowl is 5" to ends of handles. The wood is dark and finely grained. The handle of the creamer is slightly lighter in color. Both are simple design, with attached lid and ball finial, and are hand crafted. They are signed on the base with his conjoined initial monogram, with Taxco Mexico also stamped...

Depicting swirling stylized floral discs in couching stitch ("basma") worked in silk thread on cotton, this pair of Uzbek tent hangings measure 16 x 100 cm. The elaborate tassels and wrapped cords are formed in silk thread, decorated with crown knots and silver metallic thread. They are in excellent condition.

Korean wrapping cloth, chogappo which is made of recycled ramie (choma) fragments. All hand sewn except for a blue belt. The frame cloth is silk gauze."Pojagi" is a general name for wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchwork with silk as well as asa ( reference source: "Korean Embroidery and Wrapping Cloths from the Choson Dynasty" published by Japan Art & Culture Association in 1995 ). Generally in good condition except for some color bleeding parts...
