A lovely Chinese translucent natural gray agate calligraphy brush with a bone ferrule and end cap. Brush is natural hair. The beads are slightly smaller than most, each measuring only .75" diameter (across) x 1" long. It is just beautiful. Brush measures 11.75 inches long.

Stainless steel paper knife with the handle made of a large natural piece of polished lump of amber from the west coast of Denmark. Best Deep Yellow / Honey natural colour! Amber Lump size: L 8,5 x 6 cm. Total Length 21 cm. Weight: 99 gr. Great patina from age and use. Old piece of amber probably found in the fist part of the 20th century and than mounted as paper knife.

Sakiori coat whose wefts are strips from old vegetable indigo dye cotton cloth and warps are hemp yarn. Wefts are fine strips comparing with other sakiori items. The short sleeves are for ease of movement, as it is "hamagi", worn at the seaside. In good condition except for two mending patches. The first half of the 20th century. W:85cm, L:92cm

Vintage Chinese Gilt Silver Filigree Jadeite & Tourmaline Bracelet

It is 5.35 inches (13.6 cm) in inner circumference by 1.18 inches (3 cm) wide. The bead is 17.4 mm-19.4 mm. It is 42.2 gram.

The jadeite and tourmaline have inclusions and surface wears. The silver is tarnished and has minor loss of gilding (as seen in the photos).

Netsuke of a standing sumo wrestler wearing an apron and getting ready for a match. Excellent concentrated and tranquil face, great sense of volume to his limbs and body. Signed NORIMITSU inside the apron. Excellent sculpture. Height 2 1/8 inches.

Netsuke of standing Jurojin (one of the 7 Gods of happiness, usually associated with longevity) holding a scroll and a fan in his hands, with a reclining spotted deer (symbol of longevity) by his feet. Excellent carving - see the detailing of his face, incised fingernails, coat and spots of the deer. Great quality staining, beautiful patina. A unique blend of communist history, rendered in a subtle propagandist doctrine (teaching). The two Chinese characters translate 'the way' and a broad road made up of many arrows point in one direction ultimately swinging upward; in the make up of this rather odd configuration is the obvious color 'Red' which completes the translation stemming from the two Chinese characters which roughly translates..., The 'Red' way points in the right direction, pathway to promotion...
