Chinese monochrome yellow Peking Glass brush pot. Historically, many pieces of Peking glass were made with yellow glass (dubbed "Imperial Yellow") due to the colors' strong association with the Qing Imperial clan of Aisin Gioro. The glass was commonly used in vases and brush pots where it was used to imitate the harder to work jade and other precious stones.

A Dehua Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin

The bodhisattva is modelled seated resting her hands on a rock cliff hidden inside her long flowing robes with one foot exposed. Around her neck she wears a jewelled necklace and a serene expression on her face. The colour an ivory tone.

PAIR OF MOUNTED OLD CHINESE JADE CARVING PLAQUES, DATING TO THE REPUBLIC PERIOD

A fine pair of larger carvings of an old man and a boy with a bird and two boys in a garden. Finely made and mounted in a low grade silver metal mounts, so that they can be carried and used as ornaments. Both carved in a white/celadon jade.

Size: ca. 70 mm. long each and weighing 107 grams total.

A fragment of old Chinese micro stitch needlework, 18" by 9 3/4" (23 1/2" by 15" in attractive black frame and light green backing material), the imagery including classic temples, vegetation, insects, and even two tiny figures (and maybe portions of sampan-style boats). The silk stitch is very small and intricate, the colors bright, though I do note that the edges are frayed and at top stained. Proper framing could hide this.

An old mythical Dragon Horse necklace with low grade silver engraved balls, carved turquoise beads, natural coral branches accented by white and green jade hoops on a braided silk cord. A cast iron beast, probably a tiger. The elongated shape of the animal, the size, the sagging of the back, suggest that it is a brush rest. There are a lot of modern cast iron copies, which may be the case here, but we can certify that this little tiger has been in the Sakura collection for at least forty years, which proves nothing. Sculpture smal but powerfull. Good condition. Length: 85mm The price is depending on the doubt.
