Pair of 1930's Chinese Apple Green Crackle Glaze Porcelain Long Neck Vase with Chocolate Rim

They are 8.7 inches (22.1 cm) tall by 4.4 inches (11.4 cm) wide. They are 2.7 lb.

They have flea bites chips at the foot and manufacture imperfection of firing dark spots, glaze imperfections, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese pendant with coral colored stone mounted as a brooch in high relief with a scholar standing under a twisting pine in a mountain setting. The rectangular gilt frame is cast as four bamboo stalks and has a sturdy open “mesh” backing fitted with a stick pin and gold loop so that it can be worn as a brooch or necklace. Very fine work overall with no tarnish anywhere to the gilt frame. DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8” long (6 cm) x 1 7/8” wide (4.8 cm).

Chinese jade bowl, carved with a scrolling vine motif and auspicious symbols. The foot of the bowl is bordered by a lotus pattern. Finely carved of very thin jade of a beautiful mottled green, ome small cracks. Circa 1950

From a local estate comes a pair of very, very detailed Tibetan thangka paintings, one measuring 24" by 19 3/4" in its gold frame and the other 21 1/2" by 16 1/4". I am not a specialist in art of the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayas or Tibetan Plateau region, but I understand these to be highly symbolic religious works of that geographic origin. The former owner was said to have collected these on one of her trips to India...

A rather unusual fan painting (senmen) portraying an image of a dragon rising above the clouds done using fingers. The tradition of finger painting is thought to have originated from China. Eccentric literati artists used their fingers instead of the brush to become one with the painting. Work contains a signature and seal by an artist named Sonsen. Additionally, the inscription on the fan reads: finger painted by Sonsen. Age: Early 20th century Size: Height 55.5" Length 27.5"

Pair of Japanese Baluster Vases, Kutani style with multi-figural decoration to body and landscape vignettes to neck with dragon handles, each marked on underside. Size; each vase with height of 8 inches, in very good condition, one slightly taller the the other!

Ink wash landscape. Painted with ink on silk. Signed and sealed.

Some insignificant light marks are present on the painting and mounting, otherwise the piece is in very good condition. It is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box.

A Chinese Famille Rose, Republic (1912-1947). Diameter approximately 15.1cm and height approximately 7.3 cm. The bowl has dirt in the center. Good condition.

Japanese woodblock print depicting a lone leafless tree at dusk set against a gold leaf background titled "Evening View (Dusk)" by Joichi Hoshi (1913-1979). Pencil-signed "Joichi Hoshi" and dated '77 at the lower right, with the artist's square red seal above. Pencil-titled in kanji at the lower left and numbered 43/99. A penciled inscription on the upper back reads "8408 S-1 12/12" and the original price of 100,000 yen is at the bottom of the back...

A small Japanese hibachi formally known as te-aburi or a hand warmer which were often found in traditional Japanese homes. The hand warmer is shaped in the form of a winter pumpkin known as an akoda and the design has been in use since the 17th century. The warmer contains makie decorations of chrysanthemums set with a bamboo fence. Age: 20th century Size: diameter 7.5" height 8.25"

Japanese Sliding Door framed by Kiri Wood and Bamboo, 36 1/2" high, 1 1/4" thick, nice old warm Kiri, Reed and Bamboo framed Sliding Door, the condition is good.

Kabuto maedate, or ornament that sits in the front of the Japanese helmet. Dragonfly. Gilded iron. Japan, 20th century.
