Antique Japanese Kanban soroban (abacus). Used by merchants, this large sized abacus has eyelets for hanging. It has 21 rows of wooden beads with 5 beads in each column (105 beads total). The beads are fitted onto wooden dowels. Behind each dowel is a boar's hair bristle which holds each bead in position when it's pushed upward even while the soroban is hanging sideways.

Pair of antique Chinese flower ball dishes with various balls spaced over a white ground. These dishes have scalloped rims edged in gilt. The underside of each dish carries three bats in iron red. The glazed white base holds a shop mark in iron red enclosed in a single iron red border.

Age: Qing Dynasty

Size: Each dish is approximately 4" diameter

Condition: Good, no breaks or cracks. Some of the gilt around the edges has worn off

A unique Chinese famille rose dish featuring a large central sunflower with a smaller one beside it. Two flies hovering above with a praying mantis below. This dish has an oval and a square seal in iron red against a gold ground, along with writing and black ink with two further red seals to the side. The underside of this dish is covered in pink. The base in white with a four character Yongzheng mark in gold surrounded by double gold borders.

A Chinese antique porcelain bowl in underglaze blue. The outside of the bowl is surrounded in lotus scrolls while the inside shows a phoenix in flight with a scroll border surrounding the foliated rim. The base rim left unglazed. The base glazed with a four character mark stating "Da Ming Nian Zao" (Made During the Great Ming Dynasty) surrounded by double circles in underglaze blue.
