This is a bed decoration from northern Afghanistan made by Uzbeks of the Lakai tribe. Traditionally these textiles were placed between layers of bedding quilts at the back of the yurt. This segusha measures 72 x 80 x 115 cm when folded into a triangle, and the embroidery is silk thread on faded red cotton edged with silk fringes, combining satin stitch with long and short stitch...

Exquisite dochu hand hammered copper flower vase from the famed Gyokusendo Foundry in Niigata Prefecture of Japan. Showa Period C.1960. Loveyl drip glaze in relief and in perfect condition. Beautiful piece in Japanese taste, excellent quality painting, skilled use of gold and multicolored enamels, in perfect condition. A Chinese Sang de Boeuf censer. Covered on the outside in a deep red glaze with dog head side handles. The glaze thinning at the rim and continuing on the inside of the censer where it stops. The inside of the censer covered in a lightly tinted blue clear glaze over a crackle ground. The base covered in the same glaze.

A fine Japanese antique Satsuma tripod koro with lid. Decorated on one side with a group of children playing and on the other side a garden scene with flowers against a fence. The domed cover decorated the same with a seated foo dog finial resting on a ball. Resting on three animal head legs. All highlighted with gilt.

Condition: Very good condition. There is a small chip on the mane and the tail of the foo dog.
