Japanese large Cherry wood Veneer serving Tray with two(2) handles, 20" x 13" wide, 1 3/4" high rim, very interesting design of natural tree roots veneered, applied on top of the wood and lacquered on top. Bottom is black lacquered wood. This is brand new item, produced from north east region of Japan, never been used before, comes with original maker's paper box.

A splendid ruby cut to clear glass crystal compote on a scalloped foot rising along a faceted shaped stem with terraced capital supporting a gorgeous rich ruby red cut bowl. The compote has excellent weight - you know you are getting a quality piece of crystal when you feel it in your hand. While it is unmarked, it bears considerable likeness to Val St Lambert, much of whose production was unmarked...

Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Made in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the 8 1/4 inch plate in the crystal satin finish. Excellent condition, I have 4 available. Persian Iranian Ceramic Tile, 1960's, 12 1/2" x 10 1/2" 3/4" thick, hand painted floral decoration under the thick crackling glaze, small frits around the edges, and tight firing in the Kiln hairline on the bottom, heavy weight.

Vintage Chinese ink on paper fan depicting a bird on flowering branches by Chen Shiliang (b. 1941). Signed and with red artists’s seal. Dated within the calligraphy at the top to summer of 1981. Chinese Green Pottery Cricket Play cage, or Cricket Bowl, 3 1/2" high, 5 3/4" diameter-top rim, 7 7/8" diameter-unglazed bottom, in good condition.

Round decorative tile of an early steamship atop a Sherwin-Williams-type schematic earth, diameter 7 3/8" and about 7/8" thick at the edges. This is a hand crafted and no doubt unique piece; hand painted, and glazed. On the reverse is scratched into the ceramic what I take to be apparently the date: "11-7-22". There are two holes drilled at the top, through which a wire has been strung, to allow this to hang on a wall. See several thousand paintings, drawings and prints in my shop.

An unframed old watercolor painting of tall trees in a Japanese forest, 19 1/2" by 13", signed at lower right by listed artist TOKUSABURO KOBAYASHI (1884-1949). There is old Japanese yellowed newspaper from THE HOCHI SHIMBUN used as cushioning between the watercolor paper and the old wood backing panel. Kobayashi was active in the first part of the century as a watercolorist. Frame with archival materials to enjoy this fine watercolor of a (cedar?) forest.

Ivory Crest was only produced by Fenton Glass Company for one year, 1940 -1941, making it one of the scarcer crest patterns. Offered here is a pair of #951 cornucopia candlesticks. Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with white core and two birds on a long branch with leaves and flowers. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see the individual petals and leaves, in perfect condition. Height 3/4 inches.
