A silk fukuro obi sash. On a background of woven gold-thread and cream-colored silk is a repeating diamond-shaped pattern of stylized flowers and feathers in gold-thread brocade and brightly colored silk (orange, yellow, green, blue, red and white).

Woven-in manufacture mark turned inside and obscured by the seam.

A lovely Christmas bouquet paperweight by Perthshire. The weight features a colorful bouquet of holly leaves, a red poinsettia and mistletoe surrounded by ring of red, white and green complex canes, all against an opaque snow white ground. The base is embedded with a signature/date cane. The paperweight is finished with 5/1 faceting.

Origin: Scotland, 1996. Condition: excellent, no roughnesses. Dimensions: 3" diameter; 2" high.

Japanese vintage kimono made of navy blue silk with embroidery of chrysanthemums on long vines down the front, and branches with cherry blossoms on the sleeves. The backside has a large, beautiful bunch of embroidered chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms cascading down with two small birds in flight. Chinese teakwood tabletop display stand. Each of the four tiers for holding objects has carved frieze decoration. 18” wide x 15” high x 5 1/4" deep. 20th century. Very good overall condition. A large, beautiful, Tiffany style lamp. The lamp is 34 inches (87 cm) tall (to the top of the finial). The shade itself is 19 1/2 inches (50 cm) wide and 8 1/2 inches high (10 inches tall to the metal-top). The contemporary lamp takes three bulbs on the upper sockets and one bulb in the lower, inside-body socket. The lamp is in good condition.

Fenton Bicentennial Eagle Paperweight, Chocolate. Fenton made this in Patriot Red, Liberty Blue and White. They never explained the reason for the color Chocolate -- but we understand the red/white/blue ones. In mint condition about about 4" round and 3.5" tall.

Superb large modern glass mold blown vessel with iridescent scavo textured surface. One of my Venetian colleagues, a dealer in 20th century Murano Glass identified this awesome vessel as the design of Ermanno Nason for Cenedese and valued it at 1000euro. A silk fukuro obi sash. In jacquard weave with 2 hues of gold-thread and red, green, yellow and brown silk. Clematis meandering upwards against a yellow-golden background, partially obscured by copper-golden stylized flower shapes.

The back of the obi is plain cream-colored silk, as is about 1.5 meters on the front, which would be invisible when wrapped around the body. The last 16.5 inches of the obi seamlessly fit onto the rest of the design.
